First Annual Northeast Regional Conference

    First Annual Northeast Regional Conference

    In co-operation with the Pittsburgh Comicon, The Star Wars Association of Pittsburgh is hosting the First Annual Northeast Regional Conference.

    When: April 25, 26, and 27

    Where: Monroeville Expomart, outside of Pittsburgh PA

    How much: $17 a day, $45 for a three day pass

    Besides the general comincon events scheduled, there are several Star Wars related events:

    Friday Night ?Movie and Munchies? for JC/FF members. Star Wars & Star Wars related films. 8 PM. Location will be announced.

    ?Femmes of the Force Panel? Saturday 4:30 ? 5:30 PM Discuss the role of women in the SW mythos with Femi Taylor (Oola), Amy Allen (Aayla Secure) and Rena Owen (voice of Taun We).

    JC/FF Banquet Saturday 6:30 PM at D?Imperio?s Restaurant. Cost $20 (pay at the banquet) Door prizes, games, socialize. Dinner includes salad, choice of 3 entrees (fish, Chicken Marsalla, or Penne with Tomato-Basil sauce), veggies and potatoes. Tiramisu for dessert. One ?bottomless? soft drink/coffee is included in cost. A one time $2 charge for switching to a second type of soft drink. Costumes are encouraged, but not required at the Banquet. Please RSVP to Greencat336 by April 20th.

    Costume Contest Sunday 2PM sponsored by Pittsburgh Comicon.

    SWAP/501st Table The Star Wars Assoication of Pittsburgh and the 501st will have a table at the convention. JC/FF visitors should check in with us here to confirm their interest in the Banquet and to get the location of the Friday ?Movies and Munchies?. We will also be raffling off a ?Binks Basket? and other SW items to raise money for Children?s hospital.

    This is our first attempt at a Northeast Regional conference. If we can get a good response, we hope to have an even larger event next year! We would love to see you there!
