First Costume (Female Sith)

I wanted to make a Female Sith costume I can use for Halloween and Comicon/Anime Expo. I have the time this week to devote to making it.. I'd love any suggestions for a first time sewer haha

I was thinking something Darth Talon/Aayla Secura inspired:
- black hooded cloak with arm slits (may use McCall's 8936 pattern w/XL Hood)
- over the knee boots
- long gloves
- can't decide between form fitting pants or shorts
- wrap bikini top
- armor (probably to be added after Halloween)


with tarnished gold accessories (belt, jewelry, etc).
I'm working on the rest of the details ... maybe drawings up soon?

I just wanna be a hot Asian Sith Lord XD
I'm obviously excited and have done some research.

I'd just appreciate some input, suggestions, short cuts hahaha ..

Pants would probablly be better than shorts.
Lightsaber?
Belt pouches are handy for cell phones, wallets, etc.
