I was lying back in the passenger seat of my friend's car, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine when I saw all these high school students walking down the road.

I said to my friend "Aren't you glad we're not at school anymore?"

    Her response? "Hell yeah."

You have my sympathy, Ace :D
Maybe it's better now, though, without School C.

I was having a discussion with SFL yesterday regarding work, I suggested he enjoy education while he can. Once you're aout working you'll miss all those school holidays Ummm.. unless you become a teacher of course!

I'm hoping UNI life (and halls of residence life) will be a slightly better 'place' than College. The 7th form year was very cool - everyone changed sooo much. All the "immature" people matured and all the 7th formers were friends - kinda weird, after being with most of the from 3rd form, then this sudden change. :)

I anticipate a fun and enjoyable time down at Lincoln, mainly due to the fact that I'll be studying someone I have an interest in (not english). So with that said, I can't wait to get down there now.

Having a few guys I "know" will be nice too. No one from school, nor anyone I know from Auckland is going down there so I'll be al alone :( But if Chans can show me some good eats and Graal can show me some good trout fishing streams/pools I'll be a happy camper. :D

    And I need some Lincoln Pies and some Suvalaki's :D :D :D

university kicks ass SFL.......3-4 years of long holidays, stuff all class time, lots of drinking, and such........and from what i hear lincoln is one of the bigger drinking universities, their Garden Party is legendary......only problem is there are lots of ruggers at lincoln, not that it really matters too much at uni in my experience

It's ok - I support the red and blacks anyway!

cricket/rugby - they carve up Auckland anyday!

    You suck.

And you will soon learn that it is hilarious to (inwardly) laugh at Canterbury supporters when they lose - especially at Rugby.

There are a lot of annoying rugbyheads in Canterbury. I took much glee in their pain when they lost (especially to Auckland) while I was living in CHC.

They just take it all too seriously. Scarily so sometimes. And for that, the deserve to die. Err, Lose.

The only team I like to see lose as much as Canterbury is Waikato, for much the same reasons as outlined above.

There is nothing wrong with the passion Waikato rugby fans show.

jp is right, the south take tugny alot more seriously, which sucks if you don't really give a crap.....dunedin is the same, hell they even try and brand it as Rugby City sometimes, the dicks........but that being said, it can be fun getting really drunk and going to lancaster or carisbrook, even if you don't really give a toss

Lucky I support Cantab (though I dont follow the NPC or whatever usually - I only say "GO CANABURY" when I hear they are in the semi's or finals. :)

Does anyone else find that odd?

You haven't lived in Canterbury all your life, you don't actually follow the NPC or super 12, yet you support Canterbury.

If Canterbury start losing more often in Rugby & Cricket, will you swap allegiances to the new top team?

believe me, he will support Cantabury when he is down here, otherwise he will get bashed in the street for not wearing red and black during a home semi or final.

ps. the chant is more like this:
    Caaaant-a-breeey!

Hey Chans thats a bit harsh, there are just as many bshings and stabbings when the Rugby's not on!! ;)

Being a Cantab myself I find the atmosphere at Jade Stadium aka lancaster park fantastic, the only bad thing being they only serve DB.. YUCK!!
