Bootlegs? BOOTLEGS! They're saying the have Bootlegs!

    Ah well, never mind. [face_plain]

I was going to mention about the BFE Chickens too! They've got these kind of crap make-up-fx things stuck on them so they look like 'Space Chickens' or something... I don't believe they're named though. (individually or collectively: like Dave the Space Chicken)

Anyway, doesn't it stand to reason that if 'humans' can evolve in the SW Universe, dogs, ducks, horses and space-chickens could evolve as well? Like they said, the word 'dogs' is probably a translation of the SW equivalent. I prefer it to cack names like Gundark.

Oh, and I thought he said 'Die Jedi Guards' as well. There's definitely an 'S' at the end, so it ain't 'Die Jedi Die'

    Peace out,

    {||||| ?||} -----------------------------

To me, C-3PO says "Die Jedi Gods". That Would make sense, the Jedi being "higher" thatn the other citizens of the galaxy. So "Jedi Gods" would work.

Yes, in EU, the ANH book Obi-Wan mentions ducks and Luke is thinking of a dog he once owned when the Millennium Falcon is blasting out of Mos Eisley.

    George's script/outline.

The man is not known for his continuity.

There are also falcons (Millenium Falcon anyone?) and snakes (one in Yodas cave on Dagobah). So whats the problem? Running out of reasons to bag on the prequels gotta clutch at some straws?

zeekveerko wrote "the official language of the star wars galaxy is basic. they only speak english in the movies for our benefit. therefore, words like dog and duck don't necessarily mean the same thing as what we have here"

Check out this link from the official site: link

    Those are terrestrial ducks.

You misunderstand the purpose of this thread. I'm not complaining that there are dogs, chickens and humans in SW. I'm not complaining about continuity or anything else. I'm not complaining at all. I'm simply observing and having fun. This is the Jedi Council. This is where we come to spend countless hours debating very pointless stuff (In the big picture). At the end of my life I'm not going to be concearned with wheather or not Palpetine knew that Anakin was the chosen one. It's pointless. No more pointless than dogs existing in SW. We come here because it is a fun escape. I also think that if enough is made of this we can get dogs entered into the official databank. Why you ask. Because we can, heck I don't know. All I know is that Ducks are mentioned in TPM and they have a place in the official site because of it. Dogs belong there too. I would also love to see more barnyard animals in ep3. Perhaps a pig.

O.K., I just watched TPM yesterday on DVD. In the scene at the Gungan sacred place a dog walks from center screen off to the right when Boss Nass says,"Who'sn diss witch you?". Can anyone confirm this?

Luke had a dog according to the ANH novel. And possibly a cut scene.

First off, he says "dogs". To the guy who suggested having our hearing checked, I suggest the same right back.

Secondly, there were rats in ROTJ, snakes in ESB. If you're going to whine about ducks and dogs, you'd better work those other animals in too.

And never mind the fact that this galaxy far, far away has humans as well...

    LOL!

"I don't know how any of you heard another other than "Die Jedi dogs!"... listen to it yourself and tell me he doesn't say dogs"

If that isn't a doctered-up midi file then I don't know what is. That was so obvious that the "die Jedi dogs" part is not 3PO's voice.

"Dogs are not canon at all. They aren't even mentioned in the movies or EU so this thread is pretty useless."

Luke once had a dog according to the novelization of ANH.

Lando once had a dog who was hit by a speeder, according to the Lando Calrissian trilogy.

    So we have:

    ANH
    Millenium Falcon
Luke had a dog according to the novel
Obi-Wan mentions ducks in the novel
    The MSE-6 Mouse Droid

    ESB
    Snakes and lizards on Dagobah

    ROJ
    Rats in Jabba's palace

    TPM
    Ducks
    Lions and horses (statues)

    AOTC
Bear Clan. Unless that means those who bear great responsabilities...

This bickering is pointless; listen to 3PO himself after the line in question:

    "What did I say???"
