This has been on a lot of minds lately, including a 6 movie marathon [face_laugh]. Right now I think we should aim for a 3-day-2-night one as a 2 day one is really short.

I can start organizing but I need input on the preferred dates, possible chalet locations, etc.

Please feel free to discuss. :)

My favourite chalet so far is the NSRCC (National Service Resort & Country Club). They have these nice double storey bungalows and the living room's pretty spacious (should be enough for all of us). Not too sure about the prices...

Costa Sands Pasir Ris is also not bad, cept that the living room has no air con. But we should all more or less be able to fit..

For some weird reason or another, I don't quite like Downtown East, not sure about the rest of you though.

    Just my thoughts... ;)

If having it during the weekend of July 10th, please have it anywhere near Pasir Ris Downtown East as some members have to attend CosFest (or those with costumes/armor can come down; it's FREE entry anyway). :D Not necessary Downtown East Chalet, can take up any other as long near Downtown East.

The new HomeTeamNS Chalet at 125 Pasir Ris Road seems very spacious from the article in yesterday's TNP and will cost SGD270 for the 3 days. There is also Parking Lot for those with car and Barbeque Pit in front of the house. I think on the map, it's the Telecom Chalet. The only problem is that we need someone who is a HomeTeamNS member to apply.

Well if we're not gonna watch the pirated ROTS version, then maybe we'll just stick to the OT and the first 2 episodes.

Darth_Eagle - Think it's possible if you brother can book? Once we get a date confirmed first. :D

The Government Loyang Holiday Bungalows (Pasir Ris) are already fully booked for every weekend in July. Vacancies are running out fast for the ones in Changi Village...

But the Changi Village ones are quite secluded right? I think I've been to one before.

The Changi ones are relatively secluded but big enough to accommodate large groups and isolated enough to allow a higher noise level...

In general, vacancy for the bigger corporate bungalows start filling up 3 months in advanced... So we might have to push it back... Unless someone's Force strong enough...

Haha. I'll try to ask my friend whether he can get hold of one of the Bungalows as his sis is a civil servant. Woohoo, I look forward to this. If bungalows can't then go for chalet lor...

    So how?
Has anyone started booking anything yet?
If not, then can I get started on booking something, before nothing else is available anymore?

I don't have any particular place in mind just yet... but I am looking for a place that's...

    1) Big enough for all of us
    2) Where we can enjoy ourselves and not disturb the neighbours, so to speak

If no one else has really and actually booked anything yet, then I will go do the legwork and book something... just checking first, 'cos I don't wanna book a place, then have someone else also book a place, then we would have 2 places, and what would we do with the 2nd one? Would there be any cancellation charges involved? Get what I mean?

But National Day is on a tuesday, so does that mean monday is a school holiday? If it is, great, but if it's not, then it'd just be like any other weekend.

    :)
