Before I assumed that the phrase "clone trooper" hadn't been used officially until recently. But the other day I was looking though the EC and found this:

"The Katana Fleet and the Clone Troopers" - The Essential Chronology (April 2000), page 86

Were KJA & Wallace aware of that AotC soldiers would be called the same thing? Or did I miss this phrase when reading the Thrawn trilogy?

Note: I'd prefer to keep this discussion Episode II spoiler-free, so don't reply with AotC spoilers. Thank you.

Soldiers/Troops that have been reproduced or cloned = clone trooper. Call it luck, call it fate, call it karma, but I believe that it is just a coencidence.

I believe that Tim Zahn had actually aimed at having an knock off of the Stormtrooper idea when he wrote it. I actually talked to him about that once while on the topic of the clone take over of Ukio. Im not sure it was actually in the TTT though... Id have to go through and look.

But, either way, I dont find it highly important.
