First production pic for Forgotten Realm

This is the first production picture for the Star Wars fanfilm Forgotten Realm. The movie is set between Episodes III and IV. In Forgotten Realm the Rebel agents learn of a planned Imperial invasion of the Proteus star cluster and attempt to warn the inhabitants. The continents were created from high resolution NASA pictures and then mapped to a sphere. The cloud structure comes from a NASA weather site. The saturation of light on the left limb is still being tweaked. Principle photography is set for the spring.[image=http://members.warpnet.net/crawford3/Leeto_20001.jpg]

Very nice! But yeah, it does look a little bit like Earth. Try and make it look more alien like.

 

Looks a bit flat, here's a more spheric version. Not as sharp though.

This planet is supposed to be Earth-like. The other planet that figures prominently in the script is an alien world. It and a nebula are my next effects shots for the movie.
