First project - please critique it for me

Hi there. I am a long time Star Wars fan looking to eventually make my own fan film. So I've started with the fun stuff - space ship animations.

Here is my first attempt at a post-opening crawl shot, not very original, just trying to get things looking good as far as ship movements, lasers, explosions, sound fx,etc. It' all done in Max, and AE, the only thing I didn't do is MotionBlur in Max just because of the huge render times.

EDIT: but it keeps timing out on me.

 

looks very nice tho i think the falcon needs to move a little bit more cause now it looks like its on strings same goes for the tie fighters, just some subtle rolls and stuff would make it looks alot better
and at the end i'm asuming you were trying to make the falcon jump to hyperspace but didnt exactly work out the way it was planned
but otherwise good work
i look forward to seeing more
