First TV Broadcasts of Star Wars OT?

    Hi, I'm doing research on Star Wars alternate visual media, besides the theatrical releases. I've run into a snag and I hope some of my fellow Star Wars nuts can help me out.

    Does anybody know when each OT Star Wars film first premiered on television here in the USA? I'm looking for both the original cable broadcast and the regular network broadcast of each film. I would like to know the exact channel, date, and time for each. If anyone knows the answers or can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

    I remember ANH premiered on HBO in February 1983.

    Also it premiered on ABC in March 1984.

    I believe, not totally sure, that ESB premiered on HBO in October 1986

    I remember Return of the Jedi was on Fox a few years back, and I think I might remember something about it being the first television broadcast of the film, but then again, maybe not. That was probably back in 1998 or 1999. Could have been earlier, not sure.

    ^ Maybe the first network premiere, because I saw ROTJ on the cable channel USA in 1995. (USA did a Christmas Eve/Night special with all three movies in a row.)
