No. It was about me dating a certain anime voice actor who was wearing a mask of a character he portrays. Or rather one of those little paper plate masks with a popcicle sticks preschoolers make. <<
My weirdest Star Wars dream: I'm a little kid again and in school. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon are special guests that come in with trays filled with cookies and spatulas. They're scooping up cookies and passing them out to all the kids while talking in that very kiddy/condescending voice that older people use when talking to very young kids, going around the room asking each one what they want to be when they grow up and giving out cookies and complimenting kids. But then Darth Maul strolls in, Qui-Gon is like, "oh HELL no!" they all take up their lightsabers and start kicking over desks, kids are getting injured as they can't get out of the way fast enough, and they break out into a lightsaber fight. I think that was one of handful of times I've laughed myself awake at the absurdity of it. Another absurd dream that I had that has nothing to do with Star Wars was that I was impregnated with a chestburster (from the movie Alien) and every now and again it would try to break out and I would have to say "oh no you don't!" and either pound against my chest or put my chest up against something like a sheet of metal and then when it tried to break out it would just get a concussion and pass out in my body, buying me some more time.
I wonder if there is a Star Wars dream thread somewhere around here... BTW, @Barriss_Coffee I like the sig I hope Whedon doesn't wonder over to SW.
There's a dream thread in the JCC, but they don't discuss SW there. And I feel like BC's sig is a line from Firefly, but I haven't watched the show since last year.
I came across one or two really old Star Wars dream threads while searching. I haven't seen Firefly..
Aw crap! You better be getting overtime for that. You guys should move all rowdy and wayward TCW threads you'd usually lock into the Episode VII forum. No on would notice. Everything's fair game there. It's not so much a quote as a reference to Whedon's reputation for repeatedly killing the fans' most beloved characters in his shows/movies. But I think he's already got his eyes on Chewy... he posted a Tweet the other day mentioning the Yuuzhan Vong...
I try to avoid posting political stuff, but non-partisan jokes that rip everyone in one go are safe, right? http://www.slate.com/articles/video...ama_and_mitt_romney_in_a_videogame_fight.html
Yeah, good thing I work in the hotel industry. The husband is going to pick up a filter and if that doesn't work. I'll probably call and see about staying at the hotel for a night or two, till maintenance can get here and check it out.
I think my initial shock at this announcement is starting to wear off, and I may even be moving into a phase of "cautious enthusiasm"... even regarding the plan to make new movies.
Yeah. It wasn't perfect, but at least it was fun. Smarter too. Not to be a downer. Just feel like saying.
