One of my favorites is at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, WI. they've got a Union Pacific Big Boy in very good condition.
@SenatorKelberry, That's awesome and does look to be in great condition. Some of my favorite locomotives are the giants like the Bigboys and C&O Alleganies. I've never seen either up close. The largest I've seen in person is N&W Class A #1218. The last time I went on a train trip was to MN chasing Milwaukee Road 261.
There's a guy that lives down the road from me that turned the inside of his house into a model train track/city.
I have some Lionel trains but they actually test my patience in trying to set them up just for the holidays so, I don't have one of those.
My grandparents had one of those when I was much younger. I remember getting carried away with the speed and launching it through a window.
Hah; I get asked to do a lot but fortunately we also have a tech facilitator at work so she gets asked just as often as I do. And we divvy up between what I know how to do and what she knows how to do. I'm not sure how anyone is supposed to compare phones using picture; I have to handle the phone and see what it does. I love my iPhone 4S, I haven't bothered with a 5, I don't mess with new technology the first few months it's out anyway. Cats: this video is silly as hell but it cracks me up every time: @Seerow : How about those Heels? 24 points against the Cavaliers.
My grandfather worked on the railroad for over forty years. I grew up next to 3 tracks... used to get regular beatings for hopping the slow movers. (Doesn't mean they were slow, just not full speed.) The rush far outweighed the ass thrashings. Well, my plans for my day off are lame tomorrow. Gonna buy a few of the SW books people tell me to read. 1 for kindle, the other two apparently not so much and I'm going to try and self repair my old Galaxy S II. I bought a screen for it.
That's the one I'm getting for my Kindle. I bought this for it to try and get away with reading at work. =b Expensive. -.-;
For some reason (Move your mouse to reveal the content) For some reason (open) For some reason (close) That comment on the engineers made me think of this:
Hmm... I might need one of these for my tree this year. http://www.hallmark.com/products/christmas/keepsake-ornaments/general-grievous-1795QX8171_DK/
I placed a bid on a lot of TCW ornaments that includes a Rex figure about an hour ago. Hopefully I'll win.
