No, the committee is reviewing it along with dozens of other books. Depending on how quickly they make the final revisions, late 2013 is the earliest

Would you place the book title at the top of each test shot, with the series name at bottom? I think the art needs to be more visible in the center of each image and would like to see how it comes across. Otherwise, I think they are both fantastic.

Thanks! In the final releases, it would be for example "The Dragons Are Here" in the largest font, with the logo beneath it following with the series title in smaller fonts, then the book title in a larger font, and then my name in a smaller font. The logo will appear at the bottom.

A key for the series is that I try not to play by conventional methods. The Chronicles of the Emperor(R) is not a pure fantasy series, it is a series that coalesces the modern and fantasy world to create something more new. The series, through its many characters and plot twists, stands to challenge conventionalism, society, and morality in general. What is anarchy truly? To what lengths could someone go for power before that line is inevitably breached, and what is power? Is it something so utterly desirable that one's family becomes mere collateral damage for it? The series also brings forth the issues of human trafficking, sexism, and corruption in government and organized religion to the forefront.

 

So, it's like The Witcher then? Grimdark grimdark, modern slang and advanced chemistry contrasted against 13th century aesthetic while talking about sexism and horrible human beings?

Sounds like something I'll like. Your description of the characters and how you'll complicate them, a mix of modern and fantasy sounds like some of my favorite stories.

 

Really, your description could be any number of things and that was the closest approximation I could guess.

 

Reminds me of Lord of the Rings except with dragons.

There's fantasy definitely but there's overall little resemblance to Lord of the Rings in terms of plot. I can't divulge much more than that to be honest until the editor allows me to do so.
