@Barriss_Coffee: I hear ya. I have never hated Romanticism and derivatives so much in my entire life.
Welcome back Tarkas. Great to see ya buddy! Totally getting that for my mom for Christmas. <<; Wow... I am glad I'm a slacker. <<;
Of course, BC, blame finals. Luckily, two of my professors decided to have us turn in a research paper instead of having an in-class exam. And less exams is always better in my book.
Tarkas - I finished with a History and Literature degree. Started with psych and poli sci. Hoped I would get into law school
@anakinfansince1983 @Seerow Thanks. @Garth Maul I started out going for secondary education with a history focus, but I'm switching to public policy or public administration. If I don't get elected to vote on legislation I at least want to help write it!
@SithStarSlayer: Admittedly, I always assumed you looked like Quinlan Vos. And I'll probably keep thinking that... even though Tarkas and Garth have posted photos of themselves in RL, I still mentally picture them as Flash Gordan and Darth Maul with a particularly bad mullet, respectively. Noble!
Noble, narcissistic, or some less extreme combination of the two. But you picturing me as Flash Gordon equals win!!!
I'm a Master, not an apprentice... Learn to know the subtleties of the internetz, the only person on planet earth that needed to know I was mean-mugging her, picked up on it. Mission accomplished. Two reasons for that, I'm guessing... I didn't change my green Vos avatar until we hit the temp-boards and I ran around here with "I am Quinlan Vos" in my sig during my four-year run of writing from his "Galaxy at War" POV in the RPF. I picked a Jedi that I was most like, not who I looked like the most. And before anyone else asks me "why Vos?" it is simply because: I would be the Jedi that you WANT on the wall, the Jedi that you NEED on the wall... I'd use force-lightning on somebody's dirtbag uncle and not feel bad about it. Ever. And yes, I ordered the code red.
It looks freaking terrible. Like an Uwe Boll movie. That it is made from one of my favorite games that prides itself on being based around actual events just pisses me off more.
...Is that even real? It looks like they slapped together the most generic war tropes into a low-budget trailer. Those planes looked like toys! Plus, IGN. 'Nuff said.
So has anyone else seen Spielberg's new Lincoln film? Could be just because I love history, but I thought it was great, and the guy playing Lincoln looks so much like him it's almost creepy. It really emphasizes how history is not as black-and-white as it is often presented.
I wanna see Lincoln. I tried during Thanksgiving break, but it was sold out when I got to the theatre. Shoulda pre-booked.
