I was with a friend in a restaurant off I-5 in Washington, near the turnoff to go up Mount St Helens. I had gotten up to go to the salad bar and when I got back to the table, a different waitress was there; she said, "Your friend said you were visiting from North Carolina. I just stopped by to hear you talk." LOL. I don't even remember what I said. I've had more than one experience like that while traveling. Most British accents are sexy as hell; I'm always sort of surprised that anyone on that side of the pond thinks that of ours.
He was just some boat driver with an unlocked 4G laptop card (dongle) and a sim card. I just had to tell him the correct access point. I dunno, it was probably that Carolina twang. -first bumps @anakinfansince1983.- And hello there night of night. Sup?
Isn't it ironic that a request for a Death Star would come from everyday citizenry as opposed to a few powerful beings plotting away in secret?
@anakinfansince1983 Thanks to you as well. The petition has already got 19.000 signatures, although it started just yesterday (I think). Of course it will be rejected too, but it's funny nonetheless.
It snowed lightly last night here, about an inch or so. Really soft powdery snow. Gonna be wicked cold all week, low 20s and under, with more snow later in the week.
5 degrees this morning. I go out for like 5 minutes to feed my family's horses, thinking "'ll only be gone a minute, I don't feel like going to grab my gloves." I ended up losing feeling in my finger tips within the first couple minutes after sliding the barn door open by the metal handle. Had to go back in and grab gloves just to finish the several minute job.
We had it last Friday too *snort* Aw Just walking around today was enough to freeze me, the traffic has been awful so walking is the only way
My pool's frozen right now. It's covered, but rainwater collects in it, so that's what's frozen. Fun to walk on, though, especially for my dogs.
