    There were three or four posts on my Facebook feed complaining about the GoDaddy commercial. I still haven't seen it, but I hope they're not insinuating that all nerds slurp when they kiss.

    Not that I'm against a fellow nerd getting some love but it's just the way they showed the commercial, it was just gross the way they portrayed it.

    What did the Pegasus look like in the original series? The same? Because the original BSG predates the first appearance of that ship (Thrawn Trilogy, I think?).

    In the original series, the Pegasus was the same class of Battlestar as the Galactica. (So that they could save money by just recycling footage for both ships) It doesn't really have the bulging forward section, and it's engine array swoops upwards, rather than the more hexagonal array of the new ship

    The only evidence I can find of Ronald D. Moore being a SW fan is him writing scripts for the Live-Action series. Not completely sure if he came up with the design for the Pegasus, though.

    You've got to say the resemblance is uncanny, however. Without the flight pods, it's almost a HD remake of the ship. Even the engines are in the same configuration.
