TV Discussion Fisto's Disco: The LACWAC Social Thread

I just saw the recent episode of Spartacus and I have to say that it has got to be one of the best in the entire series. I'll give my thoughts later when I have the time.

 

I thought that a way to bring the forum together and take a trip down memory lane during the autumn period would be to explore some of the memorable old threads from LACWAC.
Here's this week's:
Morallo Eval: Gay Separatist?

 

I thought it was a particularly great one. I loved the drunk Vet playing doctor. Stole the episode. Krieger over the intercom was funny. I guess the portly guy is gonna come back as a robot.

 

OK, so here's pretty much a summary of my thoughts for the new episode:

The best thing about the episode "Spoils of War" was that it was a Gannicus-centric episode. You had him killing every Roman he met as he slyly traversed through the city and then injuring Caesar himself before getting out in an epic horseback scene. Speaking of which, it was awesome to see Gannicus slicing down Romans even when they were surrounding him. I especially liked Caesar's reaction to Gannicus getting away. Serves him right for killing Lugo.

Speaking of Lugo, that fight he had with Caesar was one-sided. Caesar was in armor while Lugo was half-naked, which only made it easy for Caeser to injure him with his gauntleted fists and metal boots. Not a fair match. Still, at least its not as one-sided as Tiberius's rivalry with Caeser. Yeah, it doesn't seem like Tibby is going to last long. Still, I liked the line he gave to his father: "I am what you make me."

Another great part of the episode was the cliffhanger at the end with the massive wall. Although I have to say, Liam McIntyre has really grown on me. His joy at Gannicus's arrival looked very genuine. I think Liam has definitely improved through the course of the series.

On a sidenote, I'm going to miss Heracleo.

I still lurk and check in every day but I have zero motivation to post in any thread besides the Disco.

 

If you go to TvTropes, avoid the forums for your sanity and make sure to look up tropes on other sites so you don't get into their damn circular arguments on subjective tropes. How the hell can a trope be subjective anyways? It's either intended to be used or you just think something unrelated is being used as the trope.

 

I'm sure by the end of the month, you'll hang out a bit more Fanboy.
