Been out for about five months, pretty terrifying. Anyone else played/watched it before? It has some pretty deep lore and backstory. I'm surprised there isn't already a thread.

Quickest release of a sequel I've ever seen as well.

I didn't find it that scary.

    Now, Outcast.....screw that

Yea I found Outlast scary too. But the reason I find FNaF personally more scary is it opens up the wound of a childhood fear you thought you conquered when you were 8. The uncanny look of those animal robots, the ambient sounds, the nonchalant psychotic man that calls you every night, the sense of isolation. I remember shows like Barney, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reigndeer, Thomas the Tank Engine, and had my parents had this creepy animatronic Christmas tree with eyes and a mouth. I always found that Chuck E. Cheese characters fall in the same category of creepy as those unsettling shows from my childhood.

No one seems to be taking much interest in the thread, but the trailer for the third game is out. Only one enemy apparently, I wonder how that will work?

My wife bought it for me. I'll admit, I jumped a few times. I did find it frustrating though that the powers starts dropping while the guy is speaking to you. Meaning, you're already losing power before the game even starts, even if you mute it.

Do you know anything about the game's lore or secret backstory?

I believe so, and I understand the reasoning behind the power lowering. It's just, dropping the power before the game starts seems like a timer running during a loading screen.

Pretty good game. Has some of the right suspense moments at the right time.

First two were great, third kinda sucked, fourth was good too.

The fanbase is pure cringe though

    Markiplier is awesome though

The lore and theories were awesome the first couple months in 2014, but 12 year olds, furries, pewdiepie fans, and weirdos ruined the fanbase. You can't find any good lore/theories anymore. It's mostly just little kids pretending the different robots have real personalities.

Exactly! Markipliers vids were dope! But yeah, all the morons ruined the fun. That last sentence..wow, I didn't know that. Yikes, that's even worse[face_laugh]

I played DreadOut recently and it's the only horror game I actually had to stop playing. Truly was scary as Hell.

The story is incredibly dark; touches on several taboo subjects and you have to wonder about the mental state of the developers.
