FF:QLD Five things you need to know about the Transformers Movie

With all this debate about this should be that and what not one thing comes to mind at the moment. All things considered if while watching the film you are too concerend about what they look like and how they transform then the story being told is not really that engaging. If that is the case then you might as well settle for a five minute eye popping CGI effect. My only hope is that the story being told will hold my attention to the point where what the Transformers look like will matter not. That being said it would have been cool if they were faithful to G1 Transformers.

 

I think G basically summed it up. If you spend your whole time watching the movie picking apart the engineering or design aspects of the bots, then obviously they failed to make a decent, engaging movie. We'll just have to wait and see. And remember, we haven't even seen any of these things in motion yet, just very small, low-res pictures of them. I'd say wait till the trailer, where we should get the first real look at how ILM's dealing with them.

 

I thought ILM wasn't involved anymore... . I heard Michael Bay was using his own FX company, Digital Domain for the movie.

 

Oh really? I don't actually know, I haven't been keeping up with this. You're probably right, you'd know more than me, I imagine.

Well, he does look evil enough to be Megatron!

To be honest, I always had a problem with him transforming into a handgun too - seemed a bit silly. It was better when he became Galvitron (in to movie) and transformed into a stationary cannon. But even then, he was STATIONARY!

The jet's ok.

 

Prime's okay. Give me time, I'll get used to it. Megatron... Ew. Weird.

 

If I look at this as a Bionicle movie, these things look quite good.

You think that is bad? The script has been leaked and it fills me with sad.

For example, in one scene Bumblebee displays his crotch and pisses oil onto badguys.

Yeah, this one looks like the script I saw a while back. There has apparently been some drastic changes made to it but we can only wait and see.

 

Ah Sammich...so young.

This script isn't the first to suggest that second spoiler. If I remember correctly it was hypothesised back in the original series.

Yes... The second spoiler doesn't suprise me - I think I have a vague memory pertaining to it, but I can't be certain. I haven't watched the original Transformers since the days of the A1 video library.

 

I doubt either one will make it into the film, they are just... Well, stupid.

 

Spoiler 1 reminds me of that scene from George of the Jungle.

Gimmie vids of transforming and I'll consider returning to a 'neutral' opinion of this movie.

I really doubt i'd even waste bandwith downloading a freebie copy...
