Flashbacks! (minor spoilers)

So there will be at least one flashback episode coming up.

What other flashback episodes would you like to see. I guess they can't conflict with the Gendy series since Lucas has stated that is the pilot for this... though, honestly, I would be more than happy if this show wiped out or retold some of those stories in this style of writing and animation.

Anyhow, my vote is for Ventress -- how she came to be the Sith secret assassin. Since it is clear the show is above EU canon -- let's see their take on where she came from.

Second choice so far would be Grevious' construction.

 

I would definitely like a new version of Anakin and Ventress first fight. Not because the Gendy version was bad, but because I would prefer to have the entire "Clone Wars" story told in this animated form. The Gendy series and this one are simply to different to work as one whole.

 

I think they should have some episodes on the begining of the clone wars.

It depends on if the episode is going to be one long flashback, or a series of flashbacks, but it'd be kind of nice to see Sifo Dyas on Kamino, ordering the first batch of clones.

Although I doubt they'd be able to string a whole 20 mins out of that, unless they make the whole ep about the ordering, with Jango being recruited "by a man named Tyranus"... now I think about it, yeah, I'd like to see that

 

Qui-Gon Jinn would be very welcome. Perhaps his first ever meeting with Obi-Wan and the very beginning of his schooling.

Also....not really a flashback, but I'd love to see Qui-Gon appear "all sparkly glowy" to Yoda and tell him how to do it.

 

I'd love to see flashbacks give a glimpse of character relations, though admittedly it'd have to be related to the episode. Plo Koon could reflect on his friendships or his master, Aayla Secura can think about when she first met Kit, etc.

Besides. It'd be a good excuse to put in a Wookiee Jedi that way. XD

 

Well, the Gilroy/Filoni interview not only said that there'd be flashbacks, but also that the GT series basically *was* being overwritten... so, to me, that suggests that some of the major "events" of the Clone Wars should be shown "definitively" in the series. They don't need to show everything that's ever been alluded to or anything that crazy, just stuff like Anakin's scar, Anakin's knighting, some kind of origin for Ventress, that sort of thing; maybe the Jedi heroes' first missions leading the clones or something. I guess Palpy's kidnapping is a bit of a dead horse, though.

I could've misinterpreted the interview, but I thought that they were speaking of prequels and flashbacks more or less within the timeframe of the Clone Wars themselves, which suits me, since that is what the show is called, as opposed to "Star Wars: Random Events During the PT Era". We all have our wishlists... I like Qui-Gonn, but I can't think of a good dramatic reason for him to be in the show. Nor do I think that we need to see the Clone Army being ordered, or Plagueis 'n' Sidious, or (please) flash-forwards. I think sticking to the war itself is for the best...

 

How about the one thing that never made it into the movies and a lot of people wanted to see? The attack on the droid ships and the space battle during the Battle Of Geonosis. It's still during the Clone Wars, and it would be pretty cool to see that.

 

I would love to see some of the first missions, but I think in the Filoni/Gilroy interview it also said they didn't want to do anything that has already been done... like the DH comics stuff... which I think covers this area (though not as cool as would be to see it here, IMO!).

 

I'd like to see Ventress's past as well, but I'd fear that Filoni would ruin it and have either his or George Lucas's "point of view" of the situation.
