Can someone please tell me what this ship is, from the end of Agent of the Empire 7: Hard Targets, Part 2 and the beginning of AotE8:HTp3? They've been throwing around semi-obscure ships like continuity candy in this series, but all they called this thing was a "dropship." It looks extremely familiar but I just can't place it, and I know it will seem obvious once someone points it out.

I don't think it's an existing fighter; I think it's just very reminiscent of the A-6 interceptor the same artist drew for The Stark Hyperspace War:

It also reminds me of Aurra Sing's fighter.

Kinda like how all of Jam Duursema's fighters like DOTJ and Legacy look very similar. Some artists tend to default to familiar styles.

Given the similar styling, we could posit a link between the two, perhaps the same manufacturer?

Yeah, making that design from AOTE another Kuati design would be rather cool. An earlier A-series interceptor perhaps?

I think I found what it is meant to be- it looks very similar to the M3-A Scyk, a design with multiple similar variant spaceframes.

Anybody think they will ever release a complete collection of "the complete starships and vehicles" booklets in one volume? Because frankly I'm not about to pay 15-20 dollars each when there are like 80+ different ones out there. And all the torrents and downloads were taken down due to copyright issues...

Each booklet is 32 pages or so, anyone know what they are ae to cram into each one, since some of the subjects are pretty esoteric.

There is some fantasic EU stuff in those booklets. The few that I own, like the one about Home One or the one about Mon Cal cruisers in general, have all sorts of need tidbits. For example, the one about Home One actually established the total number of cruisers of that class in the Rebel Navy (7), as well as confirmed that Home One and Independence were separate vessels, which isn't always clear based on some earlier sources.

My LCS has quite a few for sale, but not the entire set. I am interested in buying the set that comes with the model of the Executor and the one with the Nebulon-B series escort frigate, as I bet there is all kinds of Fleet Junkie goodness in them.

The ships also make for great book ends, my library is full of them.

Do they not make them anymore? They really filled the gap for me once Hasbro did away with the Titanium series. Plus the did a much better job with Executor than Hasbro did.

The Executor one didn't have much new info, I was hoping it'd say something about Mandators at least, but it didn't. The Venator one did, but the quality and in-depth info varies from issue to issue.

I went to my LCS today and got Star Wars #1 by Brian Wood. Chalk full of nice little bits of Fleet Junkie stuff. Brian shows tremendous care in the way he crafted the story, plus it is obvious that he knows the EU well. There is a great shot of a portion of the Rebel Fleet in deepspace that perfectly echos it's first appearance in TESB. The Redemption is center, surrounded by various Gallofree-esque looking transports and other neat ships that harken back to those kitbashed Rebel ships in the background at the end of TESB. Commander Ackbar and Home One are mentioned but not seen. References to T-65 X-wings being still rare makes good sense, plus I love that it mentions that Incom is working with the Rebels to provide, what I assume to be in upcoming issues, stealthly X-wings.

It "feels" more like Star Wars than any comic I have read in the past few years. Really top notch stuff!

The Venator one was great, loved the fact it said that most of the Coruscant's home fleet was destroyed in the initial attack but over a 1,000 Venator's were left intact

You forgot the mention of "Corellian cruisers". Nice throwback to ANH (and by extension, EGTW). :p

Yeah, the Corellian cruiser reference was pretty cool. Little things like that, or calling Leia "Senator" add to that wonderful ANH vibe. It was really a great issue. I am now waiting to see Commander Ackbar and Home One.

Yes, I too can't wait to see the Home One with ambiguous scaling at best. Again. ;)

Btw, I was disappointed to see only the star base Valor and a new tugboat being in the new episode. The concept art showed at least three or four other Republic designs and none of them showed up in the actual episode. I liked the cinematic explosion and seeing the Arquitens-class from different angles, but, come on, the Separatists get like two or three new ships each season. [face_waiting]

Oooh, Nick, this week's featurette shows the Home Ones from Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, no shaky-cam this time.

Great shot. Fioni does make a good point that the Rebel Fleet looks so good in Star Tours that just imagine with Episode's 7-9 will look like.

For as many problems I have with the clone wars cartoon that exploding Venator sure looked great in that episode, the Grand Moff was a nice touch as well

There was a concept art pic of Starbase Valor in a recent Insider (check back a page or two, Tzizvvt78 posted it) where you can see some new looking ship designs around the station.

Speaking of TCW, that last episode showed us one of the largest concentrations of Venator-class Star Destroyers to date, IIRC. I counted about a dozen near Valor Station, plus mix of smaller escorts as well.

One line that made me laugh was the good Colonel's comment that there was enough explosive on the Seppie captured VenStar to "destroy the entire Republic fleet". Now that is minimalist. :p[face_monkey]

I thought the same thing, I was waiting for someone to calculate the blast radius and say the fleet is made up of like ten Venator's or something like that:)
