The First Order Star Destroyer barely looks like a Pellaeon to me. It's like a slightly modified standard ISD. The same bridge design, same overall towering design as opposed to the 'pyramid' design of the Pellaeon and Imperious-class. To it's credit though, I could certainly see the First Order SD as the Turbulent-class. It was a more compact, modern variant of the original ISD, so I'd say it fits perfectly for that.

I've posted TFA Lego ship sets on the TFA spoiler thread. They've all been seen in the trailers, I just don't want to get banned for posting TFA spoilers outside the thread. Although I'm not sure if those are spoilers at this point. :p

By the virtue of having them and that they come with a lot of staying power? Same reason the Empire still uses its Dreads ;)

This is the first TOR design I've actually liked. It's genuinely unique, with the way it extends slenderly in all three dimensions out of that central axis. It looks like a flying skyscraper, which is wonderfully distinctive. If that's a riff on a Nebulon-B, then that's the kind of riffing they need to be doing, not this here's-a-tweaked-clonetrooper crap.

We've always had an unofficial policy in the Fleet Junkie thread about ship spoilers. Not plot or character spoilers, but if a new ship is unveiled, we are typically ok to post & discuss.

Let me double check this will my fellow Moffs...err... Mods. :-B

The Empire has the manpower to operate Dreadnoughts in pacified sectors. The Rebellion needed ships that could hit supply convoys, not stay in pitched battle with Star Destroyers. Seems like it would make more sense to strip the Dreads down & part them out among the fleet. Upgunning your other capships with Dread turbolasers seems wiser than sinking money and time into modifying a limited platform.

Which is why the Rebels refit them for a much smaller crew.

They have their Corvettes and Frigates for that, and actually adding a refitted Dread to raiding fleets would give them some nasty teeth to intimidate convoys and its usually far lighter escorts or if it is not so light it can certainly face up to the odd Imp Dread or Strike Cruiser that might be assigned to convoy duty.

Mon Cal cruisers and other big ships are just far rarer then the Dreads they can acquire from other places and every ship that can even last a while against a Star Destroyer would be a very valuable addition, especially to the often very lightly equipped groups that actually operate against the Empire in their home sectors.

The First Order Star Destroyer looks more like a Nebula class than anything else, to me, or at least the WotC depiction of the Nebula class.

Though if that hint of a double-hull at the bow is a subtle shout-out to the old "Double Star Destroyer" idea from Kenner's post-RotJ toy proposal, mad props to the super-geeky design team.

Might TIE Bombers be drones in the NEU? Their movement always seemed drone-like to me.

Hmmm....there is supposed to be a band of space pirates in this movie, but no sign of a pirate ship as far as I can tell.

Is that tower is to scale with the Imperial/Executor, then it's 2 km plus at least. :)

    EDIT: I notice a new non-TFA vehicle:
Y-wing scout bomber with Kanan. Maybe something for season 2 of Rebels?

Regarding the oldcanon- I've recently (while watching Star Wars Droids) seen what looks like an X-wing (or at least, even more like an X-wing than Wedge's old Headhunter with the S-foils did).

The episode was 12: Across the Roon Sea - and it appears at about the 9:28 mark.

So - besides Early A-wings and Early B-wings - there's an Early X-wing in that series as well.

Nice seeing those Micro Machine sets. Hopefully this is just the first wave, as I'm hoping for more vehicles from TFA.

At least I can build a squadron on standard blue X-wings to fly with my black X-wing.

That First Order Star Destroyer looks to have hull damage...

No Mon Cal cruisers though Nick...

And I thought that. I was surprised to see not just Episode II and III stuff but also Rebels

I'm sure there are more Resistance ships. They just haven't released them yet. Hopefully we'll see some of their capital ships in the movie as well!

I just blinked and missed when the SSD Annihilator became canon again but it's awesome.

I've also been trundling through the old, new and s-canon lists to list all of our battlecruisers upwards and may have figured out the names of all 33 ISDs at Endor; any issues with my listing them here?

I think there's a reason we haven't seen it from outside yet, just Tagge's bridge. Even that is different from Vader's Executor, so, who knows what Marvel might use. I'd recommend making it a Praetor, just for the Marvel throwback. ;)

In the newcanon Darth Vader comics, Tagge's ship is referred to as "the Super Star Destroyer Annihilator"

Question is was this an intentional inclusion to the annihilator from EU, or just a happy coincidence when they picked names?
