Yeah just as it says the Star Destroyer Tarkin was on had LAAT/C Gunships painted Imperial Grey, just as the Venator' s got the Imperial Grey treatment.

In the Rebel Files it says that the Profoundity was launched before Home One, so Home One being there tentatively means that the Profoundity was already launched. Or maybe Home One was just out on a shakedown cruise . . .

Shame every single one was destroyed, Nick. And why is the Anodyne backwards?

Sure, those four ships are gone. But it's not like other examples of those classes aren't still out there. ;)

The Anodyne isn't backwards, she's just turning from a different direction. That shot shows all four ships swing around to the same direction and orientation.

I like the Raddus, because its a dedicated military MonCal ships, and I like seeing those and the difference between them and the converted cruise liners used by the Rebels. We see it with the likes of the Scythe, and I'd say the Profundity should've been a rare military ship considering its outside appearance, rather than a city.

Not a fan of the Supremacy, because its just a stretched out Executor when you really look at it.

Until such time as they actually wind up appearing in other media, they are, which is really rustling my jimmies that there's been almost jack in the way of post ROTJ content.

I like the MC85 for a lot of reasons, one being that the ship is a joint Mon Cala/Corellian Engineering Corporation design. I like the idea of the New Republic's biggest warship being a joint production effort of two of it's members. Great symbolism, plus you're basically combining two of the best shipbuilders in the Galaxy. The Raddus is a beast, here's to hoping a handful of them were retired to the NR's planetary security forces. ;)

Why no love the wingless subclass?!!

I noticed that Canon made the MC80A the Home One-type instead of the wingless types.

My most recent list by first appearance for ROTJ refers to both the Liberty-type and wingless ships as MC80 Star Cruiser, winged or wingless subclass.

I would hope the bulk of the NRDF was made of MC85's with supporting starhawks, Nebulon K's, and older MC80's. I'd really hope some of the remaining NR's planetary Security forces (as we know what's left of the NR's forces were used by the remaining senators to protect their homeworlds from the FO) show up in Episode 9 though seeing the ST...I don't have high hopes.

Maybe one day we'll see NR T-85 X-wings too.

Just remember...not every planet could afford to operate something like the Raddus. You could have planets whose PSFs are nothing more than some corvettes and planetary based fighters. Or something like the Phoenix group.....one carrier with a bunch of smaller support ships.

The Skipray Blastboat. Capital-grade ion cannons and power plant supplemented by laser cannons, concussion missiles, and proton torpedoes; starfighter-comparable speed and maneuvering profile; limited but non-negligible cargo space; all on a ship that can make do in a pinch with a crew of one.

Depends on what kind of ships I'm trying to kill. ;-)

I don't think any Legends source explicitly pointed out the differences, either. It was just made clear by context that the I and II designations pointed to the different studio models.

Great points. For every member world like Mon Cala, Corellia, or Kuat that can afford a large planetary navy, there are hundreds or even thousands that would lack either the a) resources, b) industrial capacity c) need to maintain a navy. I'd suspect that a lot of the member worlds rely heavily on starfighter squadrons, backed up by smaller ships like the Nebulon-C escort frigate. The Neb-C was specifically marketed by KDY in the post-Jakku era to the New Republic, so I imagine it's rather common. Ditto the Corellian built Bunkerbuster corvette.

While not exactly canon, I asked Jason Fry if his intent with the Bunkerbuster was for it to be a standard Corellian hull that was marketed and modified based on individual member needs, and he agreed that was his thinking. So imagine ALOT of those ships being in service, but each one being armed, equipped, and crewed based on the specific needs of that world.

To recap, while the NRDF and major member worlds would be equipped with MC85's, MC80's, Starhawks, and other big ships, most members would have an assortment of KDY and CEC ships under 600m and starfighters to meet their local needs.

Hey Nick if you've got the ear of Jason Fry you should ask him what he thinks the Starhawk should look like.

The one to ask would be Chuck Wendig, he created it. IIRC, he said in his mind it looked like a hatchet, with the blade facing down:

This sort of thing was also reflected in the old EU. The Minos Cluster was a relative back water with a handful of Imperial ships patrolling it. But the Tapani Sector had all the noble houses and the Freeworlds well armed and able to defend themselves.

I would love to see this reflected in stories going forward. Coming into Mon Cala or Eriadu and seeing a true fleet of warships cruisers and up. And then flying into Jelucan or Socorro an there is a Quasar Fire or Nebulon B supported by corvettes....and they look pretty run down.
