Since it is a hotel, wouldn't a civilian passenger or luxury ship make more sense?

I apologise if I didn't make that clear, but I meant that by taking the design out of context.

I would have thought it more sensible to have a Mon Cal cruiser of some sort be the hotel given that's actually an in-universe function of them prior to their use as warships, but I suppose the classic modular CR90 style interiors are more iconic and recognizable to fans. I must say I am intrigued by the possibility of having a battlecruiser scale CEC vessel for retrofitting into Rebel fleets.

Soooo...is walking down the hall of the hotel going to be like walking thru a CR90 corridor?

It wouldn’t really be a CR-90 at this point though, would it?[IMG] The rooms are more in the style of those seen on the Raddus.
Also the uniforms for cast members are different than what we know to be normal Resistance uniforms, could there be an in-universe reason for that? They have similar rank badges so based on this concept art of an interactive battle sequence could this be a Republic warship?

I heard rumors that it’s $1000 per night, and the maximum stay is two nights.

Kind of disappointed it is set in a specific time....I would prefer an anthology that tells stories throughout the entire saga period from TPM to Ep IX.

But at least we get sort of world-building in the 30 years between ROTJ and TFA

Can I read this as X-Wing series inspired show? If so, sign me up.

I thought it was an E-Wing at first.

Reminds me of the Talon fighter and the Recon X-wing.

Could it be the New Republic's T-85 X-wing?

It lacks the distinctive 4 engine X-Wing design.

Plus, why would they give one to a rookie and not Poe?

Poe had a T-85 before he served with the Resistance. Also, why wouldn’t a new pilot use the standard issue starfighter of the Republic Navy?

It may have four engines in the style of the T-70, as this is only a top profile.

More E-Wing than X-Wing, and showing the profile from above makes sense if it is an E -wing, we can see the E shape.
It has a low set wing, going by how much fuselage shadow is cast on the right wing, possibly with a "gull wing" design. Two integrated over wing engines in the same place as the original E-Wing's under wing engine pods. Deleting the over cockpit cannon and having something on the nose makes more sense. But I think the wing roots should be deeper, extending further backwards, creating a more obtuse angle with the fuselage join, I don't like the 90° angle, and large box rear, makes it look like it should be flying backwards, like a N1 starfighter. I also don't like the very flat looking vertical fuselage sides.

What is this from? I always laughed at the over cockpit laser, it is so ridiculous and inconvenient, how does the pilot get in??

BTW, Those perspectives are terrible lol, giant snowspeeder.

Not to mention...the droid socket on the E-Wing might get in the way as well.
\Edit...that answers the question...the barrel detaches from the weapon when the droid socket and cockpit open.

I was under the impression that the Resistance wouldn't have any, hence why they rely on older T-70s. The main character is part of the Resistance and not the new republic, from what I gather.

(I was also under the impression that the T-85 was a new fighter for elite units, not the standard, hence why they were all lost with the capital)

I was thinking that the New Republic donated a lot of their older outdated Equipment to the Resistance. This is why we see them Use T-70 X-wings as the NR was phasing them out for T-85's
("Yep look at those beautiful new T-85's ripe with that new X-wing smell. Johnson make sure the T-70's get moved to the scrap yard!"
"opps... we seemed to have done that already sir with 50 of the T-70's" Winks to commanding officer).
What else to do with them? We also know this is how the Resistance got the Raddus as well.
