Float - Let's discuss

What do we want 2015 - 2017 float to be? Let's talk about design and concept keeping in mind a budget.

 

My mother said "Ewok Village" just because Jeff can't find her to punch her for it.

Do we want to go OT, PT or -- what are we calling the new ones?

 

We have enough kids to do this, but it was already done a few time and really good.

 

That's why it was a joke.

We've done one from each OT movie, maybe we should see if the PT has anything inspirational?

 

Kim and I were discussing this at Celebration, briefly, and we talked about facing throne rooms - one for the rebels on Yavin, and one for the Imperials on the second Death Star. I also have to give Rob credit for the Yavin part of the idea.

As for ST ideas - we won't really know what's doable or cool or interesting until we see the movie.

Arguably my favorite scene of the PT is the Pod Race. But how do we do a Podracer? Maybe put the engines on the side of the truck that is pulling the trailer?

We could do a much smaller version of the bottom half of the sandcrawler, kinda like the one at C7. It should be easy enough to do with plywood cutouts. We don't need to make it as detailed, but some plywood and wooden dowels to make the sandcrawler sides for the trailer sides should do the trick. Maybe at the end of the trailer a section a little higher for a painted "windshield". It wouldn't be hard to do. I would even break out the jawa one more time for that (even though I retired it at C7).​
