Hopefully we will repost the Euro 2000 over here so we can go on discussing the noble game of football.

Sadly, I was supposed to repost Euro 2000 but I didn't had a chance to save it due to RL circumstances.

But let's discuss football anyway. When's the next round of qualifications games for the world championchips.

This is not a star wars subject but I'm wondering, who do you think
    wins the euro 2000?
I've got no idea, honestly, but I think Holland will be quite
    dangerous.

We here in the England think that we stand a fair chance.... but we
    always think that.
I think Germany, France, England and maybe Spain stand a good chance
    of getting it.
I do know that everyone in England wants to beat the German's
because we lost to them in Penalties in Euro 96 - and it was a real
kick in the guts. Germany have beaten us in every tornament for 36
years..... it's must sureky soon be our turn to share the limelight!

I don't think that Germany is able to win the Euro2000: their
prestation in World Championship was quite bad I think...
But England has a very good Team IMO (the young Owen was very
    impresive in the last WC)
    ...but you haven't Zidane!
Definitively if the motivation is as great as for the WC, France is
    the favorite.
Or if it's not france, I bet on England.

Zidane was of no use for Juventus (Turin) against Lazio (Rome)'s
strong defence (Alessandro Nesta, above all) in the Italian
league... It's the collective which is pivotal not a single
    champion.

Germany will win the euro 2000!!!!
When they won't get the championship, than it will be England or the
    Netherlands.
France was quite bad the last games.
I don't think that they have a chance.

I think that the winning team will be a big surprise, if it isn't
Holland. The "big" nations aren't that good, France had problem even
getting to the Euro 2000, Germany and Italy are just a bit weak and
disorganised, Spain didn't impress in the game agains Sweden, nor
    did England against Malta.
This means that there is a big opportunity to smaller nations to
take the gold. I still believe in Holland though, and my heart is of
    course with Sweden.

If were talking of wish list then I'd love for the Tartan Army to
take the cup back to the Lochs!!!!
Scotland have the right attitude to Sport. They know that they arent
the best in the world, they always beleive they can turn the
underdog into their favour and beat m

I started to love Portugal this year, so I hope they will make it. I'm not sure if Sweden will make it, our football is too boring.

Sweden really need to do some thing to their tactics. At times it gets too predictable and they can't rely on the same players.

I don't think it's a good sign that everybody seems to be keen to get Stefan Schwarts back in the team. He is one of my favourites, but he starts getting old, and it would be good to have some new players instead.

Agreed. Someone should take Schwarts place soon. Otherwise we may be in for a sad time like 94-98 for Swedish football.

I'm quite sure Sweden can make it, at least if there aren't any surprises. After all, Norway can, I'm sure, and I'm hoping to no end that Denmark can after Euro 2000... Then again, Morten Olsen and Michael Laudrup are doing good jobs :)

Well the scandinavian Football isn't as bad as much would believe. I mean just look at the English Premier League. Where would Chelsea or ManU been without Solskjar or Flo. I really like how the scandivian teams play. Not much technics but cold-blooded. Hard in defense and that's the way how football works. Not always these wannabe artist from Italy, Spain or Brazil!

But you must admit that it's funnier to watch the technical football, than the defenseive "scandinavian" football.

Mmmh not always. I recognised that at my local team, FC Basel. They always want to pass and dribble a lot, playing the artistic way instead of hammering the ball into the net. But it doesn't work. If technical football works, great. But first you should have a team who can handle that! I mean just look at the englisch Football. If the're having the chance they shot.

Why is it so difficult to shot.

I like technical football better because there are few things so wonderful in sport than a nice trick with the ball.

You could say that a perfect team would be a strong disciplined team with some "divas" in it. The problem is that many teams just have one sort of player teamplayer or divas, a good team need both.
