Sweden won against Slovakia, and we scored twice. For everyone who has seen the Swedish team play, that's a lot of goals. :D

Portugal-Ireland was 1-1, I don't know what that means for their chances to qualify, but I want both teams to be in the world cup.

Ireland is in first place in our group, followed by Holland and then Portugal (but Holland and Ireland are one game ahead of Portugal).

I don't remember the exact rules, but isn't the first one in each group qualified for the world cup, and the seconds have to do another qualification against each other?

The First from all nine Group will be qualified directly. The seconds in the 8 Groups played against each other. The second from the last Group plays vs the second from the Asia continent.

    Play-offs UEFA/AFC
The nine runners-up of UEFA will be put into one pot. Four European play-off pairings (home and away) will be drawn. The winners qualify for the final competition. The remaining European runner-up will contest a home-and-away play-off against the third-placed AFC team. That winner will also qualify for the final competition.

A bit complicated, but it also means a lot of games to watch. And that is good :).

Complicated that is. Better direct elimination was. Stop talking like Yoda I shall, now. :D

Direct elimination, hmm, that sounds more like Vader not Yoda.

It sounds like Vader, high on Yoda grammar.

Correct if I am wrong, but didn't Slovakia-Sweden end 0-0?

I know that Sweden won the latest match 2-0... however I don't know how the other match where they played in Slovakia went...

All of a sudden this thread is so lively. :)

I'll be going on camp from 8-13 June, hope you all won't miss me around... will have to catch up a lot when I'm back! :)

Sweden won against Moldavia with 6-0, that's fantastic, but Moldavia wasn't a good team.

Lamje, I'm very happy that Macedonia managed to play 3-3 against Turkey, too bad they didn't win. :)

I think Sweden did a great job yesterday. Finally they had some variety when they tried to attack.
