Yay yay yay, Denmark got thru'? I only saw their latest result, but that's great news, they haven't been beaten do far!!! :) //celebrate, Yar! :) // <g>

Nice to know Sweden got thru' too, I think the Swedish team is good... :)

Well congrats to Ireland, I can't say I'm disappointed about the Netherlands, and it's sure a nice surprise...

...and so is the England result!

Great to see more action in this thread!

Brazil lost tonight! It seems as if they risk not qualifying for the World Cup, that would be a big surprise!

And it would be the first championship without them. A big suprise indeed.

    *dances happily*

Ah, Sweden's game yesterday was so exciting. I can't believe they managed to score two goals in such a short time :).

this will be a very interesting world cup... I mean netherlands isn´t gonna go, and if brazil and germany fail, there will be a chance for a couple of the smaller counties without a football history.

It sounds wonderful, but I think that both Germany and Brazil will qualify in the second round of qualifications.

I dunno....I think it would be awsome if some small country gets to be world champion or at least vice champion.

"And here the surprise champion of the new millennium´s first world championship: Haiti!" LOL (does Haiti even participate?)

I'm really not sure whether Haiti is participating, in Singapore they don't give the entire list of results so I can't check...

I'm quite sure that in the second round Brazil should find some way to get thru' (they better, if they don't want to get a whole load of criticism more than what they're already getting)...

But it's quite surprising, and considering the Brazil "goal" was an Argentinian own-goal, you never know...

Costa Rica has qualified, and they beat Sweden in the World Cup 1990, 2-1.

I agree with Obi Anne. I'd be suprised if Brazil or Germany do not get through. There is just too much experience there.

but Germany ***ked up almost every game lately.
They kept the old players too long. After the last European Chaopionship they kicked them off the team and most of the new players aren´t experienced enough.

doesn't sound to intelligent no. but I seriously doubt that sweden will get anywhere playing as they do know. much has been pure luck according to me, although our henke is very good...

Yeah, first of all we need to score more. Playing like this will be a disaster in the championchips. It seems to me that too much goes to slow and is always done the same way.

But I think that there are more joy now in the play, than it was in the European Championships, so if they can keep that it might get better than the last time.

report from the spanish league(don´t know if anyone is interested in this, but i am interested in other countries leagues, so if any one can tell me...)
second round:Real Madrid played yesterday with Malaga(one of the poorest teams) and it was a draw. 1 point out of 6 for the Madrid(how poor..)Zidane still doesn´t live up to the expectations. i don´t know if he´ll fit in the team. Deportivo won and is the leader. barfcelona plays tonight

(i don´t know what is this topic doing here in a star wars forum, BUT I LOVE IT)

This is FanForce. It's supposed to be for the fans a region to discuss SW matters...and other stuff gets in, I guess :)

But I'm not European anyway, I just come here to discuss football :)

But, Val, I like you opinions very much, and if I ever drop by in Singapore we could talk Danish football, of course I don't know when that will happen.

And didn't Barca have draw too?

yes, barça- Rayo Vallecano was a draw too. personally quite happy about this one, i don´t like Barça and i love the rayo(you surely don´t know much about this team, probably nothing)

maybe french and italian people here can say something about zidane in his new team. what´s your opinion?

Val, I would love if you could drop by in the Irish fanforce forum, I have a big goodbye party over there, since I'm moving to Limerick, and don't know how much internet access I will have in the future.
