Football, or Football?

Soccer = football to me

S.O.C.C.E.R. I just don't see the greatness of 3 hours watching nothing happen, I guess. Nevertheless, it is football is more amusing than Baseball, but less amusing than - despite recent troubles - the NBA.

The only reason soccer is so popular is because all the kids today are a bunch of wusses who would rather kick a little ball around and not get hurt then kick someones face in during a ruck!! and Rugby players have to have the strength of Football players added with the endurance of soccer players to make the ultimate athelete. So North America might not have the best Rugby system in the world but in Canada we have the three best/most violent sports in the world! Hockey, Football and Rugby. In soccer the grass grows faster then the play develops on the field, i mean how many passes do u have to make before moving 10 meters up field?

Amarican football as I hate soccor, and I British, umm. Where as my wife loves soccor, especially Manchester United!

And Cobranaconda is wrong. It's not just played in the USA. Canada has a league, and so does Europe. How many countries are in Europe? Add that to the two North American countries and that's how many countries play football. I know it's not as much as soccer, but it's a helluva lot more then the big giant 1 that Cobranaconda said.

I can't watch a game where a man trips, falls on his knee, screams, gets carried off the field on a stretcher, then re-enters the game 5 min later. They have more cry babies in soccer than in the NBA.

 

Real football (ie not American), no ******* contest. None of this stop/start bullcrap.

 

Football Soccer all the way!!! I wouldn't play anything else...okay well I would play basketball, but that's only cause I'm 6'1" but between American Football and Football Soccer, it's soccer!

 

American football is lame. Soccer is football. Zidane is my hero.
