While I'm here I will give a short description on some of the electoral groups on the campus elections, starting from the left to the right:

RAGE: This is a group of extreme lefties, who basicallcy want to over throw the system, and are comparable to Stalin and his freinds, but without the guns.

GREENS: Well, they are the greens. they want most of the students money to be spent on environmental issues. How this will benefit the students of UQ I am as yet to determine.

WHITLAM: Labor Left. Mostly consist of students from NOLS (National Organisation of Labor Students) who want thing like more schoalrships for women, and a few for refugees.

ACTIVATE: Labor Right in theory, left in practice. The fellow in charge is trying to win a seat on the Brisbane City Council in the 2004 against the very Popular Councillor Knapp who is in an ultra-safe Liberal seat.

MOJO: Mostly Liberal students, some former independants. They are a mighty excellent bunch these fellas! They are actually here for students which is something that previous administrations have not been. Ed 4 Pres! Yeah Baby!!

 

It's not about 'right' and 'left' anyway, it's about representing the needs of the students..

Speaking of Fiscal responsibility, the QUT student guild (run be the Greens) is in the black by about half a mil!!!! The Greens!!!







You'd think they would subsidise the expensive lukewarm botulism they serve at the refec .

I used to work for Mojo/Publicis. If you can get a job there I highly recommend it. Cocktail hour(s) on Friday was definately choice.

The real reason is that the people who control YOUR student union are a bunch of anti-democratic dictators who refuse to permit anyone who disagrees with them to campiagn.

I think they will be there on Thursdday sometime. Or maybe today, I do not know.

I never cease to see the Socialist Alliance and the Greenies set up with their table and posters and banners and everything like that: why don't you guys do that? I haven't seen the name 'Mojo' around campus for a long time.
