and no, I'm not gonna make a post about how hot Legolas is.

Someone said this on another board I belong to:

Ramble On by Led Zeppelin.......I realized that the song is about Frodo carrying the ring to Mordor. Also there is another reference in Battle of Evermore.

Someone on am.org pointed it out to us. How cool!!

Nah. I actually watched it before I even saw Legolas. But yeah......I can't wait to go see Pirates of the Caribbean to see a lot of him. Yum.

 

Actually, Mike picked up on these LoTR references in Zeppelin a while ago. I know about "Ramble On", "The Battle of Evermore" and "Misty Mountain Hop".

Mike is the Zeppelin scholar around here. I'm just a fan.

Actually, those three are the only ones that I know of with any LOTR references.

I've noticed this too, There is a website that talks about the connection, But I can't remember the name Q104.3 has mentioned it

BTW, Some people believe Stairway to Heaven is about LOTR somehow too

 

And "Puff the Magic Dragon" is about a Dragon and a boy.

I can't wait for TTT to come out. August 26th is waaaay to long. Why does it take so darn long for the theatrical version to get released?

 

well, release dates are done pretty much like this:

1) How well did the movie do in the theaters. The better the theater success, the longer it takes to get put on DVD. Got to build up the anticipation.

2) How much extra footage is being put into it?

3) What is the competition going to be like?

4) I forgot what I was going to say...had to take a break....
