That's a good idea, ranking the Plot, Effects, Acting, Pacing Plot 1) Attack of the Clones- Most complex plot, and I like complex things. 2)The Phantom Menace-A lot can be said of the acting, editing, whatever, but the plot alone has much intrigue, I'm also into that. 3) A New Hope- A tried and true storyline portrayed in fresh light. 4) The Empire Strikes Back- Not overly complex. 5) Return of the Jedi- Didn't have one really consistent plot. Acting/Characters 1) Attack of the Clones OK, so you may think I'm just still riding the high of a new SW movie, but I don't think so, the acting in AOTC was above any I've seen in a Star Wars movie. 2) A New Hope Great acting, great likeability factor in the characters, like in AOTC. 3) The Empire Strikes Back The acting was in the middle,it wasn't bad, but it wasn't far superior. Character likeability stayed the same or sunk a little. 4) Return of the Jedi Some truly horrible acting, and strangely some of the best of the series as well. 5) The Phantom Menace The good acting wasn't enough to salvage the bad, IMO. Pacing It's a tie for all around, SW movies don't have fantastic pacing. Overall 1) Attack of the Clones 2) A New Hope 3) The Empire Strikes Back 4) Return of the Jedi 5) The Phantom Menace. But I loved 'em all!
