For those who have trouble with Divx on OSX/Mac...

    This codec for Mac OSX is much more stable than the official Divx codec. It's also OpenSource, so it's completely free.

    I've been able to open some Divx and Mpeg4 encoded avi's that I couldn't open with the official codec.




    Yeah, yeah, PC's don't have the problem, but I like Macs...

    Ive been using an app called VLC on OS X to view DIXV and AVIs. I have yet to have a problem with it at all. Just another one out there for us Mac folks.

    Hmm. Still not working for me. I read the "Read Me" too. What could I be doing wrong?

    I don't know if it makes a difference, but it might have been written for OSX Jaguar (10.2). Are you running 10.1.x? I also had to move/delete my Divx component from the /Library/Quicktime folder on the main harddrive. If all else fails, I guess don't use it and re-install Divx.

    I tried watching Maru and it didn't work. But I could watch Black Iris from Dastoli Digital.
