why don't you search the web?

Edit: people often build the saber instead of looking around for items that could be used as a saber hilt or buying a saber.

... or you could have clicked the Tutorials link in the header and read the Sabers section...

PROP BLADES
Blades for fighting are often made from a PVC Pipe with a wodden dowel (rod) core for strength. Some people have also used carbon golf club shafts or just PVC or just wood.

The length of the blade is really up to the person that will use it. Each saber should be comfortable for its own user. Generally, sabers are about a meter (3ft) long. One measurement, borrowed from martial arts, is to make the blade length such that, when the user holds the blade-end of the hilt while standing with his/her arm hanging down, the tip of the blade would be just above floor level.

Have fun.

He doesn't even KNOW what stereotypical means . . . SHEESH !!!

alienhunter . . . it ain't a good thing.

What most of us have been TRYING to tellyou is that you have been posting and posting asking questions for which the answers are readily available to you within the various resouorces on this website ... yet you seem to prefer to IGNORE this and post redundant threads asking the same questions.

Couple of questions . . . .
* How old are you ?
* Where are you from ?
* Have you or your father/uncle ever been to a hardware store before ?

To the forum members...
Please, refrain from even bothering to complain in other threads that appear.
C'mon guys. Azeem and Daft have already posted about this only a couple weeks ago.
Let the other threads die by simply not posting in them.
(6 replies to "what is PVC"? Sheesh.)

Mr./Ms. (?) Alien...
Three things...

Please, stop creating new threads for questions that are directly (or even indirectly) related to an existing thread.
Especially an active one that your are already taking part in.

PVC pipe is the white plastic pipe you can find at a hardware store or home improvement store.
It's like $2 for an 8 foot piece and it can be cut with just about any type of hand saw.

An the last thing...

Have fun. (without posting numerous related threads.)
