Force ability: Memory echoes?

So, I'm writing a short story about someone who is highly sensitive to the Force and has the unusual ability to re-experience intensely emotional memories of others when visiting a place or coming into a contact where that memory happened, even if it was thousands of years ago.

For example, at one point she visits an old battlefield and sees a brief vision of an intense fight, and later when she picks up a lost lightsaber she sees some of the more emotional memories of the padawan who once owned it.

Has there ever been anything like this before in other Star Wars stories? If not, do you think it seems like a plausible way in which the Force may manifest itself?

 

It has never been in those Star Wars FF that I have read, but I think that if you write it the way you say it here, the story is gonna be fantastic.

 

Quinlan Vos had a very similar ability known as 'Psychometry' which allowed him to 'read' surfaces of objects to gain information about events linked to them.

So yes, this is a very similar, if not the same ability
