A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away?

    Star Wars
    Force Exchange: Rebellion

    Part I

    1

Five years after the Battle of Naboo and the demilitarization of the Trade Federation, the Republic was at its height. The Jedi Order was thriving and the Senate was in complete agreeance. However, something was amiss and an anxious air was about the planet Coruscant. Supreme Chancellor Palpatine sat in his office speaking with his favourite Jedi, Anakin Skywalker. The young boy had single-handedly destroyed the main control ship, which puppeteered the Trade Federation battle droids and was supposedly the One, the Jedi that would, as prophesized, bring balance to the Force.
As the two sat, a commotion was heard from the hall and the door burst open in a flash of great light. Palpatine rose at the sudden shock just as a young man strode through the doorway. Young Anakin Skywalker gasped; the young man looked remarkably like him, only his clothing appeared much different from that of any he had seen in his various travels.
The young man entered and stopped short. He looked at Skywalker and smiled, then at Palpatine. He raised his arms, crossed them across his chest, and continued walking towards Palpatine.
?Who are you? What do you want?? Palpatine felt fear cover his visage.
?I?m here for? you,? the young man answered. Palpatine knew not what to say. He rose his hand and moved his fingers in a strangling action. The boy gasped and began to falter, but continued walking. He waved his hand in front of him in a long swiping motion, sending Palpatine backwards.
?I am Anakin Solo, I have come to destroy you,? The boy looked grave, and watched as the old Chancellor spouted blue lightning from his fingers. Again, Solo waved his hand and the lightning flashed off from him, hitting the wall with a shriek. Anakin Skywalker stood and ran at Solo, hitting him in the back, knocking him off his footing. Blue lightning enveloped the two boys. Skywalker concentrated on the Force, deflecting the energy back at the other boy.
Solo shrieked as his own power was forced back inside him, and he pulled back slightly, as if defeated. Skywalker stood over the crouching boy and began towards the Supreme Chancellor. As he neared the old man, white energy exploded around Solo and blasted Skywalker to the ground. Anakin Solo stood and pulled his lightsaber free and struck down towards Palpatine. Skywalker, realizing what was to happen leaped into Solo?s blade.
Palpatine understood. A Jedi, those that he had tried to destroy, had saved his life. Anakin Solo exploded in a blast of white light that created a long winding blue tunnel that traced back into the future to where Anakin Solo stood with his sister and brother in the Praexeum that their uncle had created. There, the three young Jedi turned white with light and melted into nothing before their fellow students? eyes.

The white light followed back into the blue tunnel and closed up as it hit the office where Palpatine and young Anakin Skywalker laid. Anakin was injured. The blade had slashed across his chest and had severed his right arm at the exit. A group of guards had heard the commotion but were too far to make it in time. Palpatine, uninjured, had lifted the boy into his arms and carried him to the exit to meet them as they entered.
The boy needed a respirator to breathe; the lightsaber had cauterized his respiratory organs. He was fitted with a mask that would not only help him breathe, but would speak for him. Skywalker was in a coma.
In the Council, the sudden attack left the Jedi confused. The attack had changed Chancellor Palpatine, though, and for the better. He renounced his seat at the head of the Republic and confessed all his deeds to the Jedi Council. Forgiven by the Masters, he joined the Order. Here is where the story really begins. Without Palpatine, the Republic would choose a new Chancellor.
?We call for a vote!? These words would begin the Change.
    ?The candidates a
