Target had stock of the U-Wing and the TIE Striker, no figures

 

My Rey + BB-8 Hot Toys just came in and it is amazing!!

BB-8 has magnet and counterweights so the head can move and be posed. The head lights up.
Rey has a range of accessories and parts, the detailing and the paint work is outstanding. Haven't had a proper chance to go through it all but tomorrow will work out how I want to display them both.

 

1st of September is when Force Friday II will take place for the new film.

I am sure well find out which places are involved as we get closer to that date.

 

Hope it's more like TFA Force Friday than Rogue Friday.

 

Because of the 'unknown' factor around Rogue One, they played things more low key.

With the main saga films, it should get a bit more of a fanfare… but who knows...

 

It's now August which means Force Friday is next month. Anyone heard any rumblings of Australian celebrations?

 

I haven't heard anything as of yet.

Toy's R Us haven't updated their page regarding it…. I wonder if it will be low key like how it was with Rogue One.

 

I certainly hope not. I've seen nothing here in WA

 

I wonder if there had been complications or the numbers had not been as big as before to worth the midnight launch….

If they are going ahead with it, they better start promoting soon as we have a few weeks to go.

 

I've asked Target and Big W on Twitter if they are doing an event

Hopefully this week we'll learn something about the others. I've got a feeling that if anyone is making an event of it, it would be Toy's R Us. Later that day everyone else should have stock available to get.

Going by http://au.starwars.com/findtheforce, it appears that Big W, Toys 'R' Us, Harvey Norman, Myer and Zing are taking part in the Force Friday II event, running from Sept 1-3.

Just saw the notice that select Toy's R Us and EB/Zing stores are doing the midnight launches too.

 

I'll be heading to Target this Friday/Saturday

 

Nothing at Target today, not one TLJ item

 

Found A TBS 6"Stormtrooper and Darth Vader from Target today, Rose and Hux from BigW, Jango Fett and LEGO Kylo Ren TIE Fighter from my local toyworld and saw some other new stuff in Lego also at Target.






Big W and Target had various stuff but neither had the same range/selection of items from across what is new.

 

Sounds like I need to check out Big W tomorrow

I ended up going to the midnight launch at the EB/Zing Store and that was a lot of fun. They had the Sphero BB-8, R2-D2 and BB-9E, some of the Black Series (Luke with Landspeeder, Rey and Speeder) and TLJ figures and vehicles… they showcased the Droid Inventor Kit which was neat. There were a lot of the Wobble heads and Pop Vinyls.

I picked up a Black Series 6" Ahsoka.

 

Nothing at Big W either however K-mart had the new Lego. I was told that the figures had arrived but were going to be put on shelves in the next two days.

 

Annoying when they have the stock and you cannot see it on the shelves.

 

You got that right. Kmart seems to be the only one that had any idea of Force Friday and had stock, yet no advertising for the event mentioned them which is ironic. I'll just have to wait.
