Force FX Lightsabers...

So are there led lights all along the blade? Is that what allows it to "grow" like it does when you turn it on?

 

Tell me a little more about the hilt.

Is it made of metal and sturdy feeling or is it plastic?

 

The hilts are metal and very sturdy.

And the LED lights allow the light to travel up and down the blade almost flawlessly.

 

So is $99 at Gamestop the best price at retail outlets?

 

the only other option is if you are "friends" with a best buy employee...$65 is the discount price...i picked up both the red and blue this week...i couldn't resist the savings...

 

Those videos are awesome. I'll be picking up an Anakin Skywalker RotS one for sure.

i work at best buy and was surpised to see the force fx come in. i was even happier when i saw the discount i got. now i have 2 for the price of one. these things are SO cool.

 

That is an insane discount. Do you get everything at cost? Thats how circuit city used to do it. Sure beats the whopping 10% I get now

 

I saw Vader & Anakin RotS ones at Best Buy today. They had Vader's on display.

I picked it up and held it, but the batteries must have been dead because the blade wouldn't come on.

If felt great, though.

 

Target has the FX lightsabers on pre-order and I have a 10% off code that I might use for it.

 

I am interested in the Vader FX saber. Anyone have any of these sabers?

Are they worth the 100 bucks?

 

I've only held one without turning it on, but I'd buy it.

 

Stove -- I bought the Vader saber and I was a little hesitant (sp?) do to the price tag also.

But I must say it is worth it. So cool.

 

WOW! It really looked like the blade was coming out of the handle upon power up! Kick A$$! Now I want one of these things. Ebay has one foro $99, but the seller has a TON of negatives. I'm gonna try and track one down around here this week. I want Anakin's though.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Luke's lightsaber and the ROTS Anakin saber? Seems like they are, or should be identical.

 

There are slight differences between the Luke and Anakin sabers. Check out the MR website for photos.

 

The Luke saber is from ANH correct? If so, shouldn't Anakin's EP III saber be the EXACT same since Obi Wan took his saber at the end of III and gave it to Luke in ANH?

 

It's not exactly the same, Anakin's is slightly different, like in the control box. I agree, check out the photo's at MR's website.

 

Anakins Episode III Lightsaber hilt should look exactly the way it does in ANH. The ROTS version has a gold piece on the right side of the activation box and the grip handles are shorter than the one from ANH.

 

I am very curious as to why Master Replicas hasn't come out with a Obi Wan FX saber. I have heard rumors that the ROTS version is supposed to come out sometime this summer. I also wonder if MR plans on releasing the Obi Wan TPM/AOTC version FX Lightsaber along with a Qui Gon Jinn FX saber.

 

It was said earlier in the thread that a Obi-Wan RotS FX saber is coming later this year.

 

I'm hoping I can hold out for the Obi-Wan saber, but I know I need a saber in my hand NOW! Going to Best Buy today, hopefully they'll have the Anakin saber. What is the difference between the ones made in the US compared to the one made in China? Anyone notice one saber lighting up "smoother" than the other??

 

I hope I can talk someone at the Master Replicas booth into trading out my Brand new, not takin' out of the box Vader Episode 4 saber. The hilt was messed up, took it back and the other 2 they had were messed up in the same way....
