PT Force lightening curiosity for anakin - another missed opportunity?

In AOTC, if I remember correctly, Anakin sees Dooku fire of a round of FL at Obiwan, wouldn't it have been great, both for mirroring part of ESB and for showing Anakin's lust for power/curiosity of the dark side with a conversation like this:


Ani: What was that power he had? The lightening.
Obi: Force lightening, it's a power commonly used by sith.
Ani: What about Jedi?
Obi: Be mindful of your thoughts, Anakin, it doesn't pay to dwell on such things.
Ani: But think about it, imagine the power of being able to take out an enemy without a lightsaber, from a distance, it could make the Jedi even more powerful than ever! Couldn't we ju..
Obi: No. No more questions, Anakin.

 

Even moreso, Anakin gets hit with it head-on!

It wouldn't have worked in AOTC, since Dooku used it during the fight/duels at the end. But for ROTS, sure. Having felt it, and seeing first hand how devastating it can be to an enemy, I can definitely buy Anakin wanting to learn the secrets of it, only for Kenobi to shut it down. Would play in great later again when Palpatine is talking about the Dark Side being a pathway to unnatural abilities. And,of course, later on is could secretly torment Vader when he can never conjure it due to his prosthetics.

 

No, it wouldn't have been great. "Missed oportunity"? Opportunity for what?
