    Rasa Ruu'ta-Li
Garrison TIE Launch Chamber, Ciutric IV

Rasa watched as Lord Nelf made his way from the broken area of the walkway. He soon reached the top of the collapsed walkway, exposed metal scraping over the front of his tunic as he got forearms and elbows onto the flat area, and physically hauled himself up, then he got a leg up. Rasa's sharp ears heard as he grunted and and made sounds as he worked his way across. With the last bit, he himself onto the intact catwalk and flopped over onto his back, breathing hard. Rasa's ears flickered from left to right, but she did not say anything. She was busy working on her own plan.

Her fangs showed, when Lord Nelf's labored breathing, was suddenly reminded of the stench in the area, and he reacted. He snorted, and made a few comments about the quality of air around him, as he sat up. He then scooted over, to grab his equipment and to look at the door that Rasa's light was showing. Rasa had given up ignoring the smell around her. She was too busy using her abilities to take care of other issues.

Rasa was not going to simply JUMP down on that tiny metal framework. With Rasa's large frame, she didnt care WHAT that thing used to hold, after seeing what happened with Lord Nelf's jump, she was not going to simply jump. But luckily, she did not have to. Rasa's expertise lay in the fact that she practiced Levitation and other related abilities quite a bit. Almost constantly, it was her most favorite way to meditate. And as she quickly found out with her growing frame, she could not simply just bound and leap happily into some of the more 'delicate' trees within the Jedi temple, without doing harm to quite a few of them, which also led to very embarrassing moments. Cats are NOT supposed to fall out of trees. So she had learned to do, what she called 'soft walking' It allowed her to use the Force to carefully use her levitation skills, to soften her landings, so that she would not damage whatever she was landing on. She could also adjust it, so that her paws did not land on the item, maintaining her levitation, pushing off against whatever it was she was 'standing' on. If the distance wasnt too deep, she could slow her fall as well. It was similar to the feeling when one played in o-gravity, something Rasa LOVED to do. It was what gave her the idea.

Rasa waited until Lord Nelf seemed to be finished with the door, and was off the wire walkway before she would join him, just in case. Her tail twitched, as she purred softly, while she was keeping watch.

IC: Kiza (Kiri Zatul), Senator's Row, Block #139176, Coruscant

The next several days were quite informative for Kiza. The nervous aide, quickly increased his entourage, from the Dashade who, not giving a name, who she nicknamed him 'Grunt', and herself, to hire on an additional SIX other beings who, as deemed by Aide Sledon, "made the grade". Something which she seriously doubted, unless that grade, was the pavement that lined Coruscant's lower levels. There was the Wookiee, Ragron, one that Kiza would consider small, compared to other Wookiees. Four humans, two in bits and pieces of armor, that looked ill fighting and not matching. From the way they interacted, she assumed that they were good friends, as they often kept to themselves, braking off into a strange language every so often. She quickly decided she would need to record a few words for reference, and look up upon it later on. Another human, another female was from the outer rim. Kiza considered her female from a biological standpoint only. The woman had muscles bulging from her biceps and thighs, more so than the Wookiee! Hard face, and short cropped hair, she seemed to enjoy wearing clothing that she could stand and flex in. Besides a sniper rifle, the rest of her armament was made for up close and personal types of attack. All blades and blunts. The last human was something interesting. Not so much for what he looked like, but what he didnt look like. He didnt look like a typical bounty hunter or guard. Kiza wasnt around when he was hired, she had been taking care of other business. But he had produced a guild card. That is what caught her attentions. That meant the man might actually have some talent, IF the card was real. But what really peaked her interest was the last being. An alien, that Kiza could not place. His face looked almost reptilian in appearance. But what was interesting was the way he felt in the Force. It was quite a unique sensation. She would have to find out more from this individual. It was much too interesting to let slip away. But it would have to wait, for now.

But the true test of wills came the next day, when Aide Sledon met with his boss, Senator Tesslor, of the Green Sector. The man might be elderly, but he was a firey man, and made his displeasure with his Aide QUITE apparent. The man hit the Krellin ceiling, all to the amusement of Kiza. She and Grunt were allowed to follow the Aide into the old man's personal conference area. the others were told to wait out in the lobby area, a fact not wasted on the others. The emotions that came flooding into the Force was quite lovely. And when they were within the old man's privacy screens and office area, he told Sledon EXACTLY what he thought of his new entourage. "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR KE'VECKIN MIND?!?!" He railed at Sledon. Kiza kept a straight face, but she saw the junior all but wither behind the onslaught. The elder mans emotions within the Force was exquisite, and Kiza was quite happy to drink them all in. It was quite delectable, and the emotion made it quite palatable. "I stated you could hire A FEW security forces, Not a Frellin POLICE FORCE!" The junior shifted in his seat, now quite uncomfortable. Kiza sat behind his left shoulder, and let her fingers play against the back of his arm, quite amused at the turn of events. Then the old man turned and looked at her.

"And what is THAT?!" He yelled locking eyes on Kiza. Kiza flashed him a brilliant smile, which seemed to take him aback. But then he was back, full of fire. "I did NOT authorize you, to to go and get yourself some trollop arm trophy...." Kiza's eyes flashed, as she slowly stood. "I'm glad to meet you to Senator Tesslor," she stated coolly, a wonderfully wicked smile played accross her features. "Unfortunately, it is under this setting." She smiled, and looked back at the aide. "Im sorry if your Aide did not fully explain the situation. Im am Zatul, Private Contractor RXS-428-A1." she told the Senator, flashing another smile. The Senator stepped back and looked her up and down. "A1?" he echoed. Kiza heard Grunt... grunt. She smiled. The Senator might not be many things, but a fool he was not. He understood both the term, Private Contractor, and the numbers and letters that followed the designation. He was suddenly quite thankful that he had not grabbed her by the arm, as he was about to do. He then looked back at Sledon, anger playing across his face, but calming down just barely. Such a wonderful sensation. "WELL!.." the old man huffed. "You managed to do at least two things right at least!" the man paced angrily. "But what am I supposed to do. I cant have that montly crew of misfits you hired! I would have THOUGHT you, of all people, would understand the meaning of the word DISCRETE!!" The man yelled at his junior. "ESPECIALLY with the trouble you stirred up LAST WEEK!" he finished. Kiza's eyebrow went up. Something to investigate. The old man turned to look at her once more. "If you would please..." The Senator addressed her. Kiza looked over. "Yes, sir?" she inquired. She hated all the polite crap, but it was necessary for the moment. "When attending Senate functions, could you wear something .. ah..?" Kiza tilted her head in acknowledgement. "But of course, Senator Tesslor. I understand your predicament. I shall, as they say, blend in." She put a bit of Force usage into her words. The old man seemed to accept this, and nodded once, before turning away from us. He then walks over to a counter, and pulls a bottle. "Please excuse us now. We have senate business to attend to." he tell both Grunt and her. With a nod, Kiza gracefully exits the room. She has much researching to do, once they leave the building. For now, she simply takes a seat, and looks over at her 'partner.' "So, read any good books lately?" Grunt responded with his usual grunt. Kiza pulled out her datapad, and began to do some preliminary research.

    Coruscant

Albin Predari personally thanked the Solystra's nautolan captain for a pleasant trip. The nagai showed his 'appreciation' for the captain's and crew's hospitality in honoring his request for solitude. Especially since it allowed him to accomplish certain 'goals'. After landing on Coruscant, the nagai was easily able to have some of his belongings ferried to 'pre-determined' locations. He'd worked with this network of facilitators before, and they were aware of his 'exacting ways', especially concerning how he rewarded success…or failure.

Anguish set himself up in a temporary location, and opted to go to his hide-out a bit later. This location was a rental, closer to the 'industrial' sector. It was supposed to be for 'storage', but he had other ideas, of course. Once there, it was time to get down to business. Anguish checked the inventory in his trunks and made sure all was in order, which it was. A sinister smile played on his pale face as he turned to the only other shadowed form in the room with him.

"Your assignment my 'friend', is to find Blue Rylle. Let me know as soon as you make contact and confirm." The sith assassin's smirk broadened just a little. He did not expect an answer from the other 'figure', neither did he get one. "Go!" he instructed. The figure turned, then speedily and silently exited the room. Anguish, nodded again, this time to himself as he envisioned the plans he was setting in motion. "And now, for Red Horn. The smirk turned into a slick smile…and then, he too was gone.

The Elomin was finally on his break, albeit not on schedule. There had been some additional corrections needed on the traffic flow processing matrix on the north-western hemisphere. Whoever was on monitor duty needed to be re-evaluated, not catching such a basic error, worse not being able to correct it. Varim Chijo shook his head and sat down at his usual table in the promenade. He liked the view of the city from the central level of his favorite eatery, the one that faced 'away' from the building he worked in. Setting his lunch aside for a moment, Varim produced his datapad and checked all the interactive strategy and puzzle 'games' he was involved in. Out of the 136 games on his list, he was only tied in two, and not for long for what he could see. In all the others, he had a comfortable lead. Smiling smugly, Varim set down his datapad and made ready to consume his meal. Unfortunately for him, that's when he received a call on his personal communicator. It was one of his co-workers. A human he supervised. This one was bright enough- for a human.

"You know I don't like to be disturbed during my mid-day meal." Varim said tersely, speaking into his com with undisguised annoyance.

[Varim, you need to come down here. This kid, he's a nagai. He's wiping us clean. He's a whiz at 'cubits'. You have to see this! We got a small crowd going and he can't be beat.]

Varim took a moment to look at his communicator, dubiously. Is this why he had been disturbed? From the little that was said, he already deduced that his fellow employee and probably others, had lost more credits than they planned on a game of chance to some 'clever alien' ( which were a dime a dozen), and probably wanted him to win back their losses - which they knew he wouldn't do. Varim always kept ALL his winnings. So either the game was rigged or….

    "Where are you?"

[Promenade, east entrance. Hurry up, the pot is getting big. This kid is going to need an escort if he plans to get home in one piece.]

    "I'll be there."

Varim shut off his communicator and took a breath. So much for lunch. Without looking, he took one sip of his drink, then placed it back down. He could have simply stayed and let his co-workers stew in their own stupidity, but the chance to see this 'clever alien' at work…that was hard to resist. He could always take an unscheduled break if he really needed to.

Having made up his mind, Varim rose and made his way to the turbo lift. It was time to see what the noise was all about, and make a bit of coin in the process.

IC: Darth Furio – Talon Industries Tower – Red Bank Sector Coruscant

The cloaked Furious Rancor entered the Coruscanti atmosphere and Darth Furio made his way to the Talon Industries Tower in the Red Bank Sector. He entered the private hanger bay seeing from the cockpit two droids automatically activate to service the ship as soon as it had landed. Furio dropped the ramp and made his way to his suite on the penthouse floor of the building. He went straight to the refresher, had a sani-steam, and changed his robes.

The long trip and battle with Gaan’s master had drained him which led him to his meditation room which always helped him recharge and centre himself. Furio thought on the pretender seeking him out and attacking him for the sake of finding his identity, yet Furio did not know the pretenders identity. This was something that Furio would have to remedy with some research by attempting to hack the Jedi Archives. The man had strength and was skilled but Furio thought he had more to give the next time the two of them battled, and they would, Furio knew it. When the pretender decided to strike was another matter altogether and for which Furio would have to be ready.

The other matter that was occupying his mind was the tremor in the Force he felt while fighting Gaan’s master. Not sure whether it was a presence from some being or something else farther away was somewhat annoying. Something else to concern himself with.

Furio grew restless as he stood and went to the lifts that accessed the private offices that Lorota would be in. He had no doubt that the buildings security would have already notified her to the hanger bay being used as Furio was the only one that used it. When he arrived to the floor Lorota stood at attention with two Ree Yees bodyguards. They all bowed their heads and Furio walked right by them all and into Lorota’s office. She quickly followed him and said, “Lord Furio, welcome back. Everything is in order.”

Furio studied her for a moment and could feel no deception or anxiety in the Force around her to prove that she was lying to him. Lorota was good at what she did as their business ventures were making them enough credits to fund a small system. All illegal activities were covered up properly and all legitimate businesses were gaining the resources to carry out any plan that Furio could dream of. His attacks on various landmarks on Coruscant had had the effect he was looking for in that they created chaos for Coruscant but the Jedi and their numbers seemed to quell that soon after. A bigger example needed to be made of the Jedi and the Coruscanti populace and a tactic had come to him while in exile.

“Very Good Lorota. Tell me, what kind of resources do we have in bio-chemical warfare and pharmaceuticals?”

Lorota made a grim face and hated the implications of her master’s question. We have two companies that make pharmaceuticals legitimately that also fund our sand and death stick operations hidden in the under city. Why?”
“It is time to make a bold statement on this planet and teach the Jedi about the illusion that control is.”

Varim Chijo finally managed to push himself towards the front of the crowd and stood silently for a good while observing the game of 'cubes'. He patiently watched and studied what was happening, and how the young pale faced nagai managed to empty the pockets of all who participated. He'd start off with a single chance cube and win half and lose the other half of the bets. He'd wait until the other player doubled their winnings then double the ante. He'd reinforce his challengers chances of winning, triple the pot, lose twice, double again, repeat, then finally go all or nothing. The pot was always too good to resist, and at 5 chance cubes, it would seem impossible for him to win, but win he did. Varim ran the probabilities in his head himself. It was indeed uncanny. Several 'experts' checked the cubes to see if they were tampered with, but none could prove that they were. A spectator even threatened to report the game, but the nagai sweet-talked him into a single game. His mistake. The tractable fool started winning and was easily manipulated into losing quite a bit of credits. Now he couldn't call the authorities, since he was a willing participant and therefore complicit.

Varim laughed inwardly. He was beginning to see a pattern here. He had signaled his co-workers NOT to come near him, so they watched from afar. The current player had won 5,000 credits and lost it all when he should have walked. Varim smiled and stepped up.

"I'll take the next bet." he said with deliberate cool, and he was rewarded with no small measure of cheers. The young nagai smiled and rolled the single chance cube between his nimble fingers.

"10 credits for openers?" he asked, almost innocently.

"100 creds, two to one game."

"In that case, I'll take red, for luck." The young nagai said with a sly grin.

"Roll it." Varim instructed, watching him cautiously.

    *************************************

Coruscant, Merchant Sector, Docking Bay 36

The cloaked figure stayed to the shadows, and moved silently and with great stealth. The docks were busy with workers and the coming and going of ships, but none were able to detect it. Its mission was quite simple, this was the perfect time to do its work. Tracking one of the dock workers was easy, as it was luring it with certain sounds. The cloaked figure incapacitated the worker ( who would remain so for several hours), and within moments was able to assume its likeness through advanced technological means. The cloaked figure took the dock workers clothes and all his effects, then proceeded to the nearest access terminal. No one would readily suspect its true identity, or what it was doing, and soon, it would have what it needed.

    *******

Varim tried to remain calm. His meal break was almost over, and he had already lost the 2000 credits he had made, none of it 'his', thankfully. The pattern he had perceived earlier was only one of many, which was something he now realized. The nagai, there was more than a game of probability here, he was almost sure of it.

"I haven't seen you at the tables." Varim ventured, "Let's try four cubes, just to keep things interesting."

"Tables are for dabblers. I prefer more 'interesting' stakes." The nagai stated then produced another cube, which he offered for Varim to check. The Elomin was about to refuse, but checked it just the same. The cube was legit, of course. He would have won THAT bet had the legitimacy been up for a wager. The issue was not the cubes, he already suspected that.

"If not tables then what? 6 red, 3blue, 4 blue and 5 red. Roll it."

"I know someone who is very interested in extremely rare items. He was off planet and missed the black bid about less than 6 standard days ago. 4 blue, 3 red, 6 red, 1 red, at 500 creds." with a smooth motion the nagai threw the chance cube against the wall and watched them bounce back on the floor.

Results: 4 red, 4 blue, 6 red and 5 blue. It was a number and color win for the elomin.

"You win." The nagai smiled, and people cheered for Varim, who nodded dismissively. He thought carefully before answering. There was something about the way the young nagai looked at him just then. He didn't trust it or like it. That's when the realization that the whole cube game was quite likely designed to lure him to this spot. He hadn't enough credits to bid on the 'item' sadly. But now, Varim felt very vulnerable and glad he hadn't purchased the item.

"Being inadequate of coin has been an issue of late. Let's see if I can remedy that, hmm. Blue row of 6." Varim said. Everyone around him gasped. The probabilities were highly stacked against him. Either he was feeling extremely lucky or he was throwing away his winnings, which made no sense. The nagai didn't have to enter a number and color combo, he could just roll and win if Varim got it wrong or give up his whole pot if Varim got it right.

The nagai smiled. "Red row of 6." He called with a smile, then rolled the chance cubes.

Everyone held their breaths as the cubes danced on the floor and came to a stop, one by one.

Result: 6 red, 6 blue, 1 red, 1 blue. The bank wins, but with no bank, no one loses.

    "That was fortunate." Varim noted.

"You could say that." the nagai responded evenly.

"You still have about 10,000 credits." Varim observed. "Will you…"

"I'll be fine." The nagai put in, cutting off his sentence.

The nagai and the elomin nodded at each other, just so. Varim's meal alarm went off, and he quickly shut it off.

"Alright! Show's over! everyone disperse!" He announced, mainly to his co-workers, but also to the crowd in general, some who wanted to stay and try their luck. "Hey! you made 500 off him. I was next."

"I'm kicking him off the promenade! Go somewhere else!" Varim said gruffly. He wondered if he'd have to call security for this crowd. He shook his head, not liking the idea that this probably had been all a set up for some kind of interview. Was the 'item' really what he thought it was? Varim looked back to see if he could catch another glimpse of the nagai and was surprised to see that the 'clever alien' had disappeared from sight.

IC: Lord Nelf, Garrison TIE Launch Chamber
    Location: Ciutric IV

Facing the door they had found, Nelf put his left hand out to the right, projected the Force, and swiped the limb forcefully to the left, expecting, or hoping that the door would be opened, but instead, three thick lines were scraped horizontally across the doow, red flakes of rust billowed against the wall to his left, or sprinkled down through the catwalk. Oh, so that's how the Force manifests itself; three claws.

    "Not 'appening, eh?"

Both hands lifted the lightsabre to shoulder height, and the Inquisitor jabbed the glowing blade deep into the metal, the material instantly bubbling orange in a ring around the superheated plasma.

Nelf breathed in the hot smell of molten metal, a welcome relief from the mouldy water below, and worked the blade, cutting down through the durasteel.

"This is criminal damage, Darling." He told Ysanne's memory, "This better be worth it."

Glowing lumps of detritus dribbled down the door, and splashed onto the catwalk, wildly throwing sparks dangerously close to the half-elf's strides, the Inquisitor skipping aside to avoid them catching fire.

Rasa watched carefully, as Lord Nelf made a sudden movement with his hand. But instead of the door opening, it seemed to simply scratch the wall. He muttered something, but he didnt seem to be talking to her, so Rasa watched quietly. She then noted, when his lightsaber lifted up, and then he jabbed the blade into the metal of the door.

Rasa became VERY attentive after that. If that construct had been sent out, when she had simply scratched at the access for the doorway, what in the FORCE was this thing going to do, about having a lightsaber jammed into a door?

Rasa knelt down, just in case something tried to sneak up behind or, or any other automated defensive's suddenly become activated. She stretched out her feeling within the Force, as she kept a sharp lookout, while Lord Nelf was busy down below. Glowing lumps of detritus dribbled down the door, and splashed onto the catwalk, wildly throwing sparks dangerously close to the half-elf's strides, the Inquisitor skipping aside to avoid them catching fire.

Rasa's fingers played over her lightsaber, as she kept watch. As soon as the doorway was open, she would join Lord Nelf down below. Right now, she could only try to ignore the stench, and keep a careful watch. The tip of her tail flickered in irritation. But she knew that he had to be more irritated than she was. He was getting close to his goal, or at least hoped he was. So these delays were probably more annoying to him. So she held her tongue. Rasa then thought of something.

"Does Billings...haave a commmmlink?" she asked him, while Nelf worked. She did wonder if he had made it back out safely. Hopefully, his luck was better. Definitely it was less smellier.

He was once again ensconced within the rented storage room; his temporary location for this particular operation. All was quiet as the pale nagai mused on his findings. His first ventured had not turned out quite as he had expected. But that was no surprise. Aguish was loathe to hunt 'easy prey', so this was no different.

So, it turned out the elomin hadn't the necessary credits to purchase the item in question. The alien had been wise not to gamble with his life, for the sith would know instantly if he'd been lying. It seemed as though Varim Chijo could sense this, or perhaps his survival instincts were that sharp. Sharp enough to save his life. Nonetheless, that had not changed the outcome. So much for the Red Horn, who in the end, did not posses the holocron. This was…'unfortunate', but at least Anguish still had the other three leads to follow, for the nagai's resolve remained undaunted. Anguish paused to consider his next move, when a soft vibration informed him his communicator became active.

The sith assassin swiped the device with speed and grace and read the coded message sent.

    *****
Coruscant, Merchant Sector, Docking Bay 36

    Moments earlier….

Though he wasn't one to feel surprise, it was a wonder how easily most organics were fooled. Finding and access terminal and slicing it, turned out to be an easy operation after all. It helped that he now looked like one of the dock workers. Once the information he sought was acquired, he simply walked out while still maintaining the ruse that he was one of them. According to his calculations, the worker he was impersonating would be found soon, so it was best to shed the disguise as soon as possible, which is exactly what he did. An isolated area was found and the change was made. Then, in an instant, he was gone.

It was now time to report his findings.

    *****

    A moment later…

Anguish finished reading the information and gave a slow nod. He then press the button which would inform 'facilitator' to return to base.

    Another dead end.

Blue Rylle and his small fleet had departed the system more than 7 days ago. There was no way to confirm if he'd been the real buyer or not, which meant he would need tracking, unless one of the other two names on the list yielded results.

Anguish consulted the appropriated datapad. The next two names, ironically, garnered greater interest.

Green Aide and Tessella. In both cases, the Force was mentioned. Anguish narrowed his dark eyes. Both names called to him with equal impetus. He needed a new strategy here, something that was…clever.

Last he checked…hmm. A thought came to his mind just then, and pale slim fingers moved quickly across the face of his own data terminal. His 'bounty' search engine had listed some curious opportunities, if he recalled correctly. Seeing how the xenoarcheologist was allegedly on sabbatical leave, she would require tracking. That, he had no doubt, would provide its own brand of entertainment, however….

    Ah, there it was.

A listing for bodyguard recruitment in the green sector. There were no coincidences in the universe, not as far as Anguish was concerned, this much he'd learned. The listing still said 'hiring'.

A smirk came across the nagai's pale features as a course of action blossomed in his mind.

    Aylek El'kori
    The Stargazer

Aylek hung in the chains, silent and defeated. He had been here for so long, he couldn’t remember the last time he had been free. He remembered being put in here and left on his own, left to his thoughts and his failures. Mostly failures, he thought. He’d had a lot of time to think about it.

He had long since given up hope of rescue. Malt had forgotten him, and he was on his own. The evil that had mysteriously appeared to give him power had seemed to retreat too, fleeing somewhere Aylek himself could not go. At first he had tried desperately to reach out to Malt, but nothing had worked, and he had ended up shouting to the wall, the ceiling, or the floor. So he had just given up.

All at once, a new thought occurred to him: what if he had some sort of purpose here? What if he was not meant to be rescued? The thought hurt, but he couldn’t deny the truth of it. If there was a rescue coming, it had not shown itself. In fact, the more he thought about it, the more he realized that it was the hard reality. Somehow, he still had a purpose. The force had not abandoned him; he had just not been able to see its purpose.

Whatever evil power he had access to now didn’t make him evil. It was his choice to be evil, not the power’s. It may have pushed him along that path subtly, but it had always been his choice. When he thought about the bad decisions he had made, he wondered what good the force could still use him for. Almost painfully, his thoughts turned to Daisy. The man was insane, no doubt. Aylek was still here, though. Still in chains on the ship. If Daisy had wanted to kill him, he certainly could have done it by now. Did Daisy, at some level, need him? Was there some part of Daisy that was drawn to the light in him?

The realization stunned him. It was as if the sun had risen over the darkness. He knew why he was here, why he had gone with Daisy in the first place from that bar, so long ago. It had been the force pushing him and moving him for this purpose.

He would be Daisy’s balance. Light and darkness must always balance, to keep things from falling into chaos and corruption. The force had guided him here to be Daisy’s check, to be his counter. It had always been destined to be like this.

He had to join Daisy’s crew. It was destiny. He could not be Daisy’s balance in chains. Doing so, though, would mean he had to leave the Jedi Order. Jedi didn’t take kindly to their knights going rogue and falling in with madmen. When he thought about the way he had been cut off from the Jedi, the way he had been abandoned, the answer was clear. The Force had another path for him, not the way of the Jedi.

    So be it.

He lifted his head slowly, his brilliant green eyes opening, the irises shining faintly. He attempted to speak, but nothing happened. Finally, a few dusty words spilled out of his muzzle, words of a new destiny.
“Daisy…Daisy!” He began to shout the name, almost chanting it as loud as he possibly could.

Daisy leaned on the wall outside of Aylek's room, listening to the Bothan scream his name. He grinned and let him shout a little while longer before sashaying into the room and striking a ludicrous pose. "You called?" He winked seductively at Aylek, who sat chained to the wall. "I'm. . Always available, you know." he looked around. "But only if there's food. Is there food?" He sniffed. "There had better be food."

As Daisy walked into the room, he smiled. “I feel like I should be the one asking you for food.” Inwardly, he hoped the force knew what it was doing. It wasn’t a sure bet, but then again, nothing was.

He looked away, and then looked at Daisy again, meeting his eyes. “I want…” He hesitated, still doubting himself, and then continued, “I want to join your crew. The Jedi have abandoned me, and left me here. I’m no Jedi anymore, you know that. When they find out what I’ve done here, they’ll throw me out, or put me in prison.”

He pulled on his chains once again, knowing it would have little effect. They had held firm for whoever-knew-how-long he had been in here, but it wasn’t about escape now. It was about something entirely different.

“My abilities can help you. With a rogue Jedi on your side, you could accomplish much! You could be an infamous pirate! They would fear your name!”

He bit his lip, hoping it would work. He really did feel abandoned by the Jedi, and this would be the start of something good. This wasn’t the first time he had been under a pirate captain, after all. He had sworn never to go back there again, but he knew this was the right thing to do. He could prevent at least some of the atrocities he had seen under Kolya, and that meant more to him than any career as a Jedi Knight.

“Please, Daisy. Let me join you.”

"Why should I give you food?" Daisy pouted. "You never give me anything. You just sit here and whine all day."

Aylek looked up. “I want to join your crew. The Jedi have abandoned me, and left me here. I’m no Jedi anymore, you know that. Daisy grinned. "Please? All I get is one measly little please? Get on your knees and beg me, boy." He grinned wildly. " Oh wait. You can't because you're all chained up! Guess that's that." Daisy started for the door.

Aylek’s desperation grew as he saw his one chance turn to walk out the door. “Daisy…wait!”

“Daisy, NO! YOU CAN’T LEAVE ME HERE! YOU CAN’T…CAN’T…”

Something in him broke as he saw his one chance at freedom die like a campfire in the rain. Something snapped deep, and opened a floodgate.

His chains rattled violently, clinking and groaning and then snapping like noodles. They fell to the floor around his feet, and Aylek looked at them, wondering how he had done it. Destiny wouldn’t be denied.

“Daisy, I meant what I said.”

He stood, unmoving, breathing heavily. He could feel the energy pouring out of him like a tidal wave, the pent-up power surging forward. It was almost intoxicating. It had been so long since he’d used the force, since the force had been opened to him. He wanted to lose himself in it, but time for that would come later.

"Daisy I meant what I said"

Daisy stopped just at the door. Slowly, he turned and surveyed the Bothan standing before him. After a long moment, he spoke. "Gosh flipping dangit Aylek those were my favorite pair of chains! Look what you did! Now I have to buy new ones!" He sighed.

"But not for you. I. . Supppppose you can join my crew. But you must follow my every word. And most important of all, you must be initiated formally into my crew." he turned and walked out the door. "IKUSEN!!" He hollered. Aylek's eyes widened. what was Daisy going to do? He decided not to ask, instead nodding. "I'll follow your orders, captain."

He hoped the initiation wasn't heavily involved with goats. He hoped it was a joke, in Daisy's twisted sense of humor. He desperately hoped.

As his thoughts turned to the near future, he wondered where they were going. You could never quite stay ahead of Daisy, so it could be anywhere, really. For all he knew, their destination might be the center of the core's sun. that wouldn't be pleasant.

Ikusen answered Daisy's requests with a loud and resounding "No" from somewhere down the corridor.

"Daisy, where are we headed?" asked Aylek.

"Somewhere with a multitude of attractive women and men and things I can't tell the gender of and also a lot of things I can maim, kill or otherwise cause harm to. And maybe even that funny little Assassin's Creed cosplayer with the big gun who probably won't like you and somewhere with fruits." Daisy answered. He led the way down the corridor and into the control room. "Ikusen, this is Aylek. He's been living in our basement for the last few weeks, so I thought you might have forgotten about him. He's joining our crew."

    Ikusen eyed Aylek. "Hi."

So Daisy wasn't going to tell him. He would just have to deal with not knowing where they were going until they got there. As they walked down the corridor, he looked around him. he could call this place home. His ship had always been useful, but now it would take on an entirely new purpose.

Ikusen eyed him, and Aylek eyed him back. "I know we've had our problems in the past, but we have to put that behind us." He held out his hand to shake, an easy smile on his face. he felt so much freer now that he wasn't a Jedi. there was something...more fun in the air. maybe it was the madness from Daisy. maybe it wasn't.

Either way, he was excited about the women, and pineapples, and the men, and the assassin's creed cosplayer.

    And then it hit him.

The assassin's creed cosplayer. That was Drayo.

They were going to find Drayo.

All the color drained from his cheeks, his ears pulled flat, eyes wide.

    He was going to die.

He came back to reality with a start, looking into Ikusen's startled face.

    "No, I didn't mean...It wasn't you, I swear."

He took Ikusen's hand and shook it, trying to make up for the scare he'd just given the human.

His mind still raced, trying to figure out a way to not get killed by the Jedi-hunter. it didn't matter that he wasn't a Jedi anymore, the man inside that mask would only see the force, and kill him for it. Aylek doubted Daisy would be able to stop him. the pure rage he had felt pouring out of that masked man was more terrifying than anything he had seen before. pure, unveiled rage was a consuming fire that destroyed all in its path.

He took a look at Daisy, wondering why he would need to find Drayo now. How long had he been chained up? The Hunter had been very close, the last time he had seen him.

    He turned fully to Daisy.

Daisy shrugged. "I don't know. Because we can. Because Derrijan wants to." He wasn't entirely sure himself, but it seemed like a good idea. Wherever the Hunter went, fruit followed his path. Daisy liked fruits.

Ikusen sighed. "Well, we're not going to find him if we keep flying around. can we stop on Coruscant?"

Daisy nodded enthusiastically. "Okies! We can stop there, because they have food and probably jobs because I'm broke now."

Ikusen eye's bugged. "And you're only just telling us now?"

The Imperial Inquisitor was most certainly getting irritated, by the slowness of his progress cutting through the door!

What was all that hoohah about REBJ - Rapid Entry By Jed about, then? Were jedi lightsabres more powerful and better at cutting through doors than his?

He knew that his people used synthetic red crystals to focus their lightsabre blades, while jedi reportedly used any old crystal they found lying around.

Fiancee dumped you? Nelf thought to himself as he started to slice horizontally to the left from the top of his molten vertical cut in the durasteel door. Don't need that diamond ring anymore? Donate the crystal to the Jedi Order. Pack your ring into a padded brown envelope and send to Big Arse Temple, Imperial Centre, Sector Zero-Zero-Zero. Just like adopting a Corellian Sand Panther, except-
Nelf had managed to distract himself from the work of the horizontal cut, and started to pull the rose-coloured plasma blade down through the glowing, melting barrier. -instead of a plush panther and a couple holopics of the little beastie, we'll send you back the rest of the ring, and a 'pic of the lucky padawan who got your crystal.

The half-elf pulled the lightsabre down level with his solar plexus, then switch grips and started to push it down to the floor.

He could suggest this to Grandmaster Joy when he next saw her. "Want to save the cost of taking your students to Ilum?" Even in his Republic days with the Bureau, he had known some jedi to put Ilum crystals in their laser swords, but attempts by members of the Inquisitorious to use it as a no-brainer intercept point of the Order 66 there, had resulted in members of the Inquisitorious coming back in an ashtray. "Actually, never mind. Forget I said anything."

    CLANG!!!

The sudden noise roused Nelf and he jumped back a step, startled, to get startled again by the catwalk shuddering loudly and alarmingly under and around him!

"Uh-oh." Nelf waited warily for the shuddering instability to subside, then looked through the door, to see that he had finished cutting out a rectangle, the door having made that noise as it toppled through to land on the other side! "Okay."

The Inquisitor stepped gingerly between the four glowing edges, the door sliding an inch as his leading boot touched down on it. He ducked through.

Compared to the TIE Launch Chamber, this short corridor before the passageway turned, was dry, clean-looking light grey stone, illuminated by a circular glowdome attached to one wall, and the facing wall of the corridor.

"Come along if you are coming." He called back through the door for Rasa's benefit.

Darth Furio and NPCs - Talon Industries Tower - Red bank Sector, Coruscant

A number of beings from around Coruscant had sat down at a large round table in the upper offices of the plant. Lorota had done as Furio had commanded and brought in the various heads of some of Coruscant's crime families. She feared what Furio had planned as he had not arrived and his guests were beginning to wonder. Lorota knew the Sith wanted to take it all for himself and he was willing to kill them all to get it. The players were set and only the Dark Lord was missing.

Finally Darth Furio entered the room in a steady path with his black hood over his head and his black robes flowing behind him. Without warning or reason Furio's lightsabre ignited and two the visiting crime lord's heads flew from their bodies onto the floor and with an out stretched hand he had raised another into the air quickly choking the life out him with a Force choke. The other crime lords quickly tried to reach for their weapons but Darth Furio's guards had the room surrounded and their weapons pointed at all of the beings in the room.

Furio deactivated his lightsabre and replaced it on his belt and with the Force lifted the heads of the new decapiated crime bosses and placed them on the table in front of the others. He looked at all of them and said. "Now that I have made the rest of you richer and more powerful with the demise of your rivals I expect something in return."

The rest of the crime bosses all looked at each other and then at Lorota, who did not flinch at all making it seem like she knew exactly what Darth Furio was going to do. She stared directly at them in return and then motioned with her head towards Furio. They all looked at him and finally a Twi'lek named Toro spoke out."I assume you think we will all pledge allegiance to you and Lorota now?"

Darth Furio's patience was wearing thin already but he could not kill all of them. "You assume correctly Twi'lek, and I will assume you know that you will never leave this room alive if you do not accept my offer."

Toro moved in his seat somewhat but gave nothing away on his face. His lekku seemed to tighten around his neck as well and finally Toro replied. "Very well Sith, what is your proposal? I assume you have a plan of some kind?"

Furio looked across the table at the Twi'lek and started to round the table. "Yes I do have a plan of sorts Toro, and that is chaos. The plan is chaos, pain, agony, and death for this planet. I have watched enough to see the Jedi are not as strong as they once were, the Coruscanti Security Forces have no answer for coordinated assaults, and that we can run them all into the ground. I want this planet on its knees and you will all help me."

There was a collective stir in the room and Furio could feel the nervous beings all waiting to see what he would say next. Furio nodded at Lorota and a holo image of a system came up. "Grand Admiral Thrawn of the Old Galactic Empire tried to set up a presence in the Pakuuni system in the Outer Rim but was thwarted. He wanted prison space station there to hold what he considered Rebels against the Empire. Now that station holds prisoners and conducts germ experiments." Furio said with malice in his voice while Toro produced a small smile and looked directly at the Dark Lord of the Sith.

Furio continued, "Sources tell me that the Republic's scientists accidently created a germ that kills beings within days of exposure while trying to make a concoction that cleaned fungus off of rocks for a mining guild on Kessel. It can be weaponized by putting it airborne or into the water supply. They have refused to destroy it for clinical reasons and they have hired a mercenary to bring it back to Coruscant for study. I will be sending agents to acquire this germ. Still following?"

Through the Force Furio could only feel fear and he basked in it.

Rasa's tails flickered as she watched Lord Nelf slowly cut a opening through the closed doorway he was standing in front of. His concentration was intense, as he did not hear the question she had asked earlier. So she stayed quiet, watching him. She would ask again, once he was finished.

Rasa watched intently as Lord Nelf changed directions on his cut, and watched as his blade cut through, melting the barrier in front of him. He seemed to really have to work at it, that or the door was resistant to that type of thing. She could only imagine what other 'traps' might go off, behind THAT sort of door opening, if it had gotten mad at her tiny scratch.

    CLANG!!!

The sudden noise roused Nelf and he jumped back a step, startled, to get startled again by the catwalk shuddering loudly and alarmingly under and around him! Rasa's ears perked forward as she watched, hoping that she did not hear the sound of metal giving way. Lord Nelf waited warily for the shuddering instability to subside, then looked through the door. He then stepped gingerly between the four glowing edges, the door sliding an inch as his leading boot touched down on it. He ducked through.

"Come along if you are coming." He called back through the door for Rasa's benefit.

Rasa's ears went back, as she stared at the metal walkway. She then tucked her tail tightly next to her body. She was NOT about to leave Lord Nelf behind. Rasa concentrated for a moment, gathering the Force to herself. She crouched down low, and then, as she did when she leaped through the trees on Coruscant, she used the Force, and her telekinetic abilities, she gently 'bounced' and walked from wall to wall to the metal walkway. Putting the least amount of pressure that she could upon the framework, she made her way to the doorway Lord Nelf had cut. She quickly scampered and wasting no time, moved through the doorway, doing her best to miss the nice hot glowing pieces of durasteel, as she made her way through, still using the Force to assist her steps. Only until she was in the area of the corridor, did she relax, and allow her feet to 'touch' the floor. Her light floated in behind her. She clipped it on her belt, and kept her lightsaber in hand, but unlit.

"Loorrd Nelf? Does Billings have a commmlink?" she asked him. "Mmmmight be good to let himm know of progress?" she stated. She also wondered if anything had happened above, since they had been down there.
