    William Shatner has revealed how he was groped by a gorilla while filming a public service announcement for endangered animals.

    The actor has already had success training dogs and horses but said he was amazed to find he could use his talents on gorillas too.

    However, it backfired when the female gorilla reached out and grabbed his groin.

    He told Celebrity News: "I was doing a public service announcement for endangered animals and we were focusing on mountain gorillas.

    "They brought one in and I tried to get to know it. I just kept saying, 'I love you.' I find if you're giving off love they'll respond. She eventually put out her hand and grabbed me by the groin."
