Though, you know what would make the Relative Peace Series even better? Mud wrestling.

The only thing needed here is to have KJA write the "Relative Peace Series". And a crossover with the Dune prequels. Then it'll sell millions!

    :p

    LMAO!

    Okay, I'll have a go.

Oh no, the Sith Monkeys are going to attack us, quick use the Planet Muncher weapon to slow the advance of Space Slug Poodoo ships from a prequel planet. Oh dear, the Planet Muncher didnt work, quick call in the Jedi to have premarital sex otherwise we shall turn on them politically then beg for nacho cheese later.

Yay Jacen died, while Anakin and Jaina didn't. Look here comes Zekk with more oddball jedi, we are saved!

    Hmm... [face_thinking]

If the poor sods (is that an eng term, sods?) were forced to issue a worldwide reassurance to fanatics their beloved movie names would live in TUF before the damn book was released, I pity the threats they must have received to have to do that, that you want to Inbox them more. :(

I dunno if 'sod' is considered English (British). I've never used it but I do know it exists.

I came across it in a school commerce class . . . long ago. Just wondering.

Sod usually refers to someone who is a drunk and/or degenerate.

This evokes comcial imagery from that class in new light . . . but okay, then: drunken sods is the term.

Silly me. I thought sod meant something along the lines of "square chunks of ground held together by the roots of the grass growin out of it." However, I'll probably end up using it in this drunkard sense more often now.

You sir are now one of the top ranking authors for Del Rey IMHO. Send that example in and get that book deal signed!

I'd read these books. I'd pay cold, hard cash too.

I'll even offer to help write the Brand Spankin' New Chronology for the new series.

"Sod" is actually shorthand for "Sodomy". I'm sure you all know what that means. I should think its a typically British insult, having never heard of any other nationality using it. & yes, before you ask - I am British! But I don't tend to use the word sod myself!

Anyway, back on subject, love the book ideas - excellent. Had me sniggering away to myself. I probably looked like a madwoman to everyone else in the office!! Great work - I'd buy the lot!

That's interesting. I have heard it used the way I have suggested and never in the way that you have suggested. Like so many words in the English language, sod has multiple meanings. One definition is just as legitimate as the other.

Funny ideas. But I think a book on Sidious' sith training would out sell anything. Or Vader's sith traing for that matter. Something very deep and thoughtfull.

Sod is just like any other expletive in that it is rarely if ever used in context hence many people who don't speak English as their first language are somewhat shocked to find out what some of our 4 letter vernacular actually means.

And yes Sod is another term for peat well Irish peat but when used in the expletive fashion its short for sodomy.

Do you think there will ever be a time when a thread manages to stay on topic.

BTW excellent ideas for books more surrealism please.
