I know I'm in the minority, but I preferred Otomo's follow-up feature film, Steamboy, to Akira. It was less about fantasy than about touching the border of historical fiction. I'd recommend it if you haven't seen it already.

 

Ok, so I don't think I've ever posted in this thread... so I'm just gonna start off with images from my top 4 all-time films, in order of my love for them. Although #1 is like... the undeniable winner. So let's start with it.
