This is a fanfilm that's very different from most, because I'm using action figures for the characters. The cons of this approach are obvious but it has enough pros to make me think it's even better than using live-action when you're on a budget, mainly because there's no problem finding good actors, no need for costumes and makeup, and I'm able to make a ton of sets (dioramas). Think of it as like a LEGO brickfilm but more realistic.

So I don't have a completed trailer yet but I do have a couple of stills to show. I took nearly two years to work on the script and I'm the middle of production and a little bit of post-production right now. The look I'm going for is very film-like, all in 1080p, with special effects that look big budget. What I have completed right now is look very professional in my opinion. Shooting with a Canon Rebel T3i and editing with Adobe CS5 Photoshop, AfterEffects, and Premiere, and some Blender. So far I've spent around $2000 on the project.

Again, because I'm using 3 3/4" figures I've been making several sets, mostly out of textured foamcore. Bad iPod-taken picture, but this is one of the sets I used, for a cave. NO LIGHTSABER DUELS IN A FOREST were used in filming.

The story is very Christopher Nolan-inspired, a much grittier take on Star Wars. Set in 24 BBY mainly on Dantooine it involves the threat of war between the Republic and the Kaleesh with a completely new cast of interesting characters. I am releasing it in three or four parts, the first *maybe* being up later this month. Unfortunately, as of yet there is no voice acting. The total runtime could be about 1 hrs 30 min.

But enough talking, and back to work...
