That is fantastic! Sounds like Jim and CQ are a great resource for the club. From what I've heard and from reading his posts here, he seems really enthusiastic about the club.

Yeah, Jim has been a great help to the club over the years. He goes out of his way for the clubs that call Comic Quest home.

 

I will be there at 8. I will be there in costume with two orange signs and a barrel and my BFG. Do we want to borrow some traffic barricades? I just got two boxes of brand-new ones in.

 

Stakky and I will be there at 8 and we'll be bringing stuff for the raffle and I've got a HUGE poster board based on the paper I wrote about SW music. Want me to bring it? It's got lots of pictures and it's easy to understand!

 

If you think they'll fit in, then I say go for it. We've got plenty of room.

Sure! As I said, we've got plenty of room, and that sounds interesting.

One more thing to anyone bringing anything to display: please post at least a general idea of what you're bringing (if you haven't already), so I'll have an idea of what we're going to have to work with.

 

I will have the few remaining comics from last years FCBD, my armor, and what there is of the R2 unit. I also have an acrylic standing sign holder for a 8x11 flier. I have a few hundred advertisements for CIV from gencon to give away to people, and will give out some of my trading cards too.

I might be forgetting something...

One thing that has yet to be decided: how will we distribute the giveaways? My idea is if you sign up for more info about the E'ville Jedi (i.e. give us your contact info, especially e-mail address), you get ONE of the giveaways (either the SW miniature or the BSG comic).

Also, for the raffle, I was thinking $1 per ticket, and 6 tickets for $5.

Thoughts?

P.S. Don't anyone worry about getting the giveaways: Jim has given us permission to distribute them however we see fit, including taking some for ourselves. Any member attending will be able to get either one or both, if they so desire...

EDIT: Cole pointed out that it's illegal to tie the purchase of a raffle ticket to a free giveaway, so I took that part out.

I have about thirty minutes of DVD footage of the REALLY hot Slave Leia from CIII with a bunch of R2-D2s.

If you want, I will bring the R2 DVD with her on it. Its a nice 30 minutes of footage, but there are also some other fun things on the DVDs as well.

My work schedule got changed at the last minute. I'm not sure when I'll be able to bring my son in to see Vader. I'm at work now, working 12 hours from 7pm-7am, and I get do the same thing Saturday night and double back to work 3pm-11pm Sunday.
So most of Saturday during FCBD I'll be sleeping.

I might try to get my wife to take him in - but she'll have all three of our kiddos - and I don't think my girls really care about SW (I'm working on them though!).

 

Ouch, thats a rough schedule. I'll save ya some goodies anyway.

haha yes..lost in space.. "danger will robinson" and i cannot sleep for some reason so i am up at 4 in the morning.. i think i am just excited...i love dressing in my vader suit... and i will be in it all day long.. so yay...
