They had this at my local library for a few hours yesterday. I didn't know until I saw a small sign for it in a local bookstore. So I hustled over there and picked up the SW comic. (They only had a few left of that). The guys only had some of the comics on offer and the rest on the table really didn't interest me.

Let's see what all I got yesterday.

The usual run. Comics I get regularly.

    -Superman #687
    -Supergirl #40
    -Angel: Aftermath #20
-Angel: Smile Time #3 of 3.
-Final Crisis: Legion Of 3 Worlds.
    -Highlander #2.

    After "Watchmen".

-Saga Of The Swamp Thing #21. I like the character and it was at the start of Alan Moore's run.

Free Comic Book Day from the companies.

-Blackest Night #0. I'm a GL fan and I'll be picking up the Superman tie-ins. Might get the main series as well.

-The Avengers. I just did it for the hell of it.

    -Wolverine. Same as above.

-Star Wars: The Clone Wars/Dark Horse FCDB promo. Come on, it's Star Wars. Plus Indy.

    -Aliens/Predator. Nuff said.

Stuff my store was giving away from their stock.

    -DC 1st Superman/The Flash
    -DC 1st Batgirl/The Joker
    -DC 1st Green Lantern/Green Lantern
-DC Comics Presents: Justice League Of America (Tribute To Julius Schwartz)
    -Venom: Lethal Protector #4.

I never got those titles in the past.

Then I went to a different store where they have dollar bin boxes.

-Doom Patrol volume 2, #10. (Ties into Superman #20)
    -Robin: A Hero Reborn #1.
-Robin II: The Joker's Wild #1.
-Hawk & Dove Annual #1. Previewed the original ending concept for "Armageddon 2001".

Then I went to a Half Price Books where they have comics for .50 cents.

-Showcase '93 #11 and 12. A two part Robin and Nightwing tale.
    -Batman: Gotham Knights #1, a 1992 mini-series.
-Batman: Shadow Of The Bat #5.
-Batman: Shadow Of The Bat #8.
    -Venom: Carnage Unleashed #3.

The others were either too far away or too busy for my taste.

Blackest Night looks like it's going to be pretty darn good. This is in the aftermath of Final Crisis right?

I was dissapointed with the size of the Avengers and Wolverine FCBD books. I hope this isn't Marvel testing the waters to see if smaller (and therefore cheaper) books will be acceptable.

There wasn't anywhere doing it near me so I couldn't pick up any. I did try and get some picked up for me but no luck there.
