    Hey Guys and Gals,

I got this email from Jay at Happy Harbor.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Erin,
Talked with Greg at the Mayfield show and he said you guys might be interested in joining us for FCBD again this year.  If you could, that would be amazing.  If you could bring other costumed peoples, that would be even more amazinger!
Is there anything I can do to sweeten the deal for you kind folks aside from free lunch, a free sketch and free, live wrestling?

    Hey guys,

I talked to Jay at Happy Harbor and let him know how many of us are coming.
He said to let you guys know that you don't have to be there for the whole day.... I think last year Greg and I showed up shortly after they opened, and left around 2 pm.
They are open from 10 am till 6 pm that day.

We get a free lunch, and a place to get dressed and keep our stuff.

    Got an email from Jay...

    -------

Okay kids, it's just around the corner so first off, thanks for offering to help out. I'm hoping this will be the most amazing year for us ever!
We've had ads in See Magazine and lots of ads will be running on Sonic radio (http://www.happyharborcomics.com/events/FCBD/page_event_fcbd2007.html) so tell your friends to keep their eyes and ears open.
As in year's past, we'd like to thank everyone who helps out with a little after event dinner and what we are going to do this year is we're gonna have pizza and beverages (adult and all-ages) sent up to the store after we close. So if you have the desire, you are all welcome to stay after and celebrate with us. (Erin, if you could pass this invite along to your friends who are coming in costumes and Kurt, if you could also extend the invitation to all the wrestlers - thanks!) Please let me know of any food allergies so I can get a proper amout of food, thanks.

Doors open at 10 and last year we had a (short) line but here's hoping for huge numbers this time. BBQ starts at 11, ends at 5. Wrestling starts at Noon and ends at 4 and the doors close at 6 pm. I will be on the main till all day with Shawna, Chelsea and Andrew swapping out on the "cash only" till. Any issues, you'll know where to find us.

For the sake of easy, please arrive early. When we open at 10, history has shown that it's pretty solid sales until about 3-4 so I won't be able to answer questions like "Where do you want me?" or "Is there something I can do?" Thankfully most of you have done this before and help organize the bodies where need be. I should be in the store early, if not still there from Friday night.

That's it. Stay loose, pray for great weather and I'll see you all on Saturday!

ok, for volunteers and costumers... there is a side door that I think everyone has seen. when you park in the back and then wall to the front... when your walking in between the two buildings there is kind of a car parking cubby... there is a door that we use. If you get there early... I am thinking 9:30 am.... give me a call. PM me for cell if you need it.

Which ones did every one get?

    Lone Ranger/BattleStar
    Justice League Of America
    Amazing Spiderman-25cents extra.

By the way, Lone Ranger from Dynamite IS the best thing going. (plug, plug).

funny story, I ran into my instructor yesterday, HE was in Edmonton as the Riddler. Harrison teaches "Comic book as literature." (This is neither here or there, but i really thought that I deserved a better mark, than I recieved).

I asked him about Free Comics @ Happy, he said, "Leia-Harley" was there,(man, I need 2 be @ two places @ once). Can't confirm about the Calgary Expo, though, on a somewhat related note, I'll theorize that Bruce Timm's wife, IS the inspiration for Ms.Quinn, She had nice gamms.

Correction: It was Paul Dini's wife, not Bruce Timm's, and gamm's might b spelled --gam's.
    Ugh.
