[Free game] Alien Swarm via Steam

Looks like a blast, old school top down shooter using an updated Source engine, and it's free.

Nope, there's no preload. There are some people complaining about that on the forums.

 

Is it 50GB or something? Geez some people are impatient.

350kbp - nice speed for my connection, and for servers that are probably getting hammered right now. At about 30% downloaded now.

Had a little look at the offline play. Man, I'm terrible.

 

Just tried it a little bit myself....I think I have the hang of it.

 

I had a quick go at offline too, and I'm also terrible. It's a blast though.

There's the Jedi Council Forums group on Steam. If everyone joins that then we should be able to find each other for games.

 

I got 2 of my squad to the lift alive, it didn't want to descend and we then got wasted by bugs.

I got yours, but I can't download the game as my monthly cap is almost up. Somehow I've already used almost 50GB.

 

Should get Internode. Steam downloads are free.
