What could i use to make sound FX? like i mean the bash's and zips, and swooshes?

A microphone, an audio editing program, and your imagination.

    CeltX Script Editor

Based on the technology of Mozilla Firefox and the Gecko engine, CeltX allows for full script creation, with everything formatted completely. CeltX also lets you generate script reports based on your characters, sets, props, etc. Online collaboration is another plus!

    EDIT!

I just found this, looks very promising.

    DgeeMe Video Based MoCap Software
Quote-"DGeeMe is a video based motion capture and analysis software package. The software can be used for sports skill analysis/improvement and for real character motion input to development of games." However some folks over at FXHome are going to use it for video.

for punch and kick sounds fx I like to just kick the crap out of fig and record the sound. But not everybody has that as an option (fig can kick most guys butts), so go w/ the suggestions above.

Just found this post on boingboing:

Automatically add lightsabers to your video
Jeff sez, "A few months back, Cory blogged about a tutorial that showed how to do rotoscoped light saber effects in digital video. Very cool, but the techniques used a bunch of expensive, fairly complex software. So, I figured I'd hack out a simple, easy-to-use one to let any George Lucas fanboy (or fangirl, for that matter) create their own effects. The result is available at the URL above, which has a short description of the project as well as links to the application and source code."

    HERE'S THE LINK.

It also has a cool application that turns any quicktime movie into a printable "flip book." Not sure why, but I like the idea of it ...

This is a good thread...I agree, this should be stickied. There is a lot of good stuff here for those of us who are financially challenged.

    The Lightsaber Maker

It's a free program that *gasp* lets you make lightsabers. Not as good as After Effects, but for someone starting out with absolutely no budget, it works.

    There's also a lightning add-on. [face_devil]

In addition, there's Lightsaber Sound, which is a pretty basic sound editor.

Finally, these fine folks offer Lightsaber Text, which will help you generate scrolling titles and credits.

Add these to Axogon and the sound effects that are offered here on TFN, and you shouldn't have to ask for help rotoscoping, making your opening crawl, editing, or adding credits to you film.

Just, please, don't use "The Hamster Dance" as your background music. [face_sick]

//Luke, Leia, Chewbacca(?), Obi-wan, Anakin, Bail, etc.

Eh, it's alright as a freebie.
Yeah, please don't rely on it. lol
You'll make me sad, and I don't think you want that.

Well, if you're nice you won't.

Yes it probably should be...but a new page would have to be created for that because IIRC original topics like this can't be converted to stickies.

Hi. I posted a link to this thread at KvR http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=99759 (the "use the force" link). It's a music board, but freeware video tools came up.

Come on over. Many people there would be happy to work on soundtracks. Virtual Studio Technology allows any style of music to be produced on a computer. There are many people there who are heavily into making soundtracks for imaginary movies. There are professionals, but many would love to collaborate for fun, experience, and credit. There are also artists and video makers.

I studied video in college. I'm a computer/real media artist, and composer/musician. I did special effects for the movie Offerings, a few haunted houses, and magic shows.

I hope to see you there.

    You can PM me there.

On the first page of this thread there is a link to a program called CamStudieo. The link takes me another program that only has a demo not a full version of a free program. Is there another?
