    Once again, Woolworths Fresh Future is about to start, where we raise money for PMH and the Children's Leukaemia Foundation. As Fresh Future co-ordinator for Bentley, I get to organise everthing. There will be no movie night or trailer raffle (thankfully) this time. Bentley doesn't have the staff or customers for big things. Dress up days are a must. What themes should there be? So far I have:

    * Superstars and Super Heroes
    * Pirates
    * Cowboys and Indians
    * 70's

    Any other suggestions:

    Super heroes is a pain because you have to arrange, or find specific costumes. 70's stuff can be found relatively easily, ditto for
    C&I and pirates.

    Pirates might be easiest, throw a few items together, add an eye patch, a sword on a belt and a parrot on you're shoulder and it's done.

    I was asking for other ideas, not comments on what I have already. Ideas better than "Hat Day", "Tie Day" or "Blue Day".

    *Rummages through photos*

    Aha! Here they are! "Superstars and Super Heroes Day" Fresh Future 2005:

    See? The costumes don't have to be elborate. Simple is good enough.

    The closest we come to a dress up day where I work is Jeans for Genes day (This friday for those that didn't know)

    My kids Daycare had a Pirate and Fairy day last friday, so I'll throw Fairies onto your list.

What's that?), Could swap it with anything really, music star, politician (if you're really desperate), formula one driver, jawa *coughs and looks innocent*, um.. athlete, sitcom character, Food or food-group?

    My list of dress-up days (in no order):

    * School (although the school kids may not like it)
    * Different Occupation (eg Chefs, business people, waiters)
    * International (Traditional Dress or colours of a country)
    * Faires
    * Wizards and Witches (a la Harry Potter)
    * Sports
    * Super Heroes and Villians
    * Cowboys and Indians
    * Pirates
    * 70's
    * Medieval
    * Free Dress

    It needs to be to eight (for the eight weeks).

    Now the question is: to buy or not to buy a Supergirl costume for Heroes and Villians Day. I don't like the costume that the costume hire places have. Maybe I could go as a Jedi again, if someone is willing to lend me the costume...

    Even though Fresh Future doesn't officially start until Monday, we're starting early by having a Derby Day Dress Up. The boss is a Dockers supporter, so he'll be in all of his Dockers stuff. Majority of the store is Eagles, like me, but you all knew that.

    Next week we are have a Mediterranean theme, as there's a Mediterranean promotion in the produce department. The boss thinks it will tie in nicely. I'm going to borrow my brother's Real Madrid soccer shirt and Barcelona scarf.

    :oops: I should have known that.

    The Mediterranean theme kinda sucked on Thurs. Hardly anyone dressed up. I mean, who wouldn't take the opportunity to now wear uniform to work? C'mon. Next week's theme is 70's. As an incentive, I'm giving away movie passes to the best costume.

    For a half-team signed Eagles guernsey (minus the captain and coach), we raised $800!

    In six weeks, we've raised $3500, and our target is $4500. We are nowhere near the leading store, which happens to be Kalgoorlie...
