Under a flag of truce, a BBQ to honour the members of the Fan Force and the troops of the 501st is officially being held on Friday, June 17, 2005, commencing at 18:30 hours.

This event is located at:
4704 - 30th Avenue S.W.
and barring destruction of the planet, shall occur regardless of atmospheric conditions.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Those attendees who are non-carnivorous or have other dietary restrictions are asked to contact SithatHeart directly so that their needs may be accommodated. If troops and rebels wish to imbibe, they shall be required to bring their own alcohol. Drinking and piloting craft of any sort will not be tolerated however.

Costumes are encouraged, but not required. Ample facilities for gear are available. The Jedi have expressed interest in the Imperial uniforms and any demonstrations or instructive advice may lead to defections.

Guests may bring what ever sorts of board or card games or sports equipment they wish (park space for Jedi/Imperial challenges is available nearby).

It has also been suggested that those traders bearing excess or unwanted SW paraphernalia bring their wares along for sale, trade or donation.

Spouses and slaves are welcome.

Please RSVP in order to ensure you will be fed (and not to the rancor).

Seriously, I'm not sure the facilities are entirely child friendly - there will be alcohol at this function as well. Will this pose a significant problem or limit the number of attendees?

 

Sounds like a good idea, i will see what i can do about attending. If my time off stays the way it is, i will beable to attend.

We're coming down just for this. We'll be in town for the one night, and we'll probably get in around 8:00 or so, trafic permitting.

If anyone has SW Trivia, I suggest they bring it - I have a feeling that the Rebels will end-up kicking some Imperial butt!

 

I have Trivial Pursuit (that came out with TPM) as well as the DVD saga edition (new one). Anyone have a portable DVD player??

Yep....all taken care of, Veritate. SlaveLeia emailed me directly so I posted everything she sent!

 

I hope to attend. I need to figure out how to get to the location though.

 

The area is fairly well serviced by buses. The number 6 is the best bet for most. There are enough people coming that I'm sure we can arrange a car pool.

As of now, my husband and I will be attending...he just doesn't know that yet. Not sure about transportation, but if there is a bus, that will work. If things change and we can't come, i'll let ya'll know.

Sounds very interesting, willtry and dig out a copy of the Star Wars drinking game. Though alchohol, could be replaced with Mountain Dew.
